Follows the family and adventures of Lila Kennedy- her two daughters (Celie- Target of former friends/mean girls; & Violet), her step-dad Bill, her estranged father Gene, & her ex-husband Dan & his new family. Characters were interesting as their unconventional family relationships weathered ups and downs. The theme of forgiveness was addressed in a few of the storylines. I would have been fine with less details of Lila’s romantic adventures. I found Lila’s conversations with Jensen to be entertaining.

I had a hard time getting into the book but once I got started I enjoyed it. I read it for Book Club and appreciated it more when I heard other opinions.
