Helen Reimensnyder Martin (October 18, 1868 – June 29, 1939). Wikipedia. She wrote society novels and novels set in the Pennsylvania Dutch community; numerous Pennsylvania Germans objected to her stereotypical depictions of their culture, which she used to depict the oppression of women and children by brutish men and their escape through education and employment.
