Bohigas showcases numerous projects initiated and realized between the death of Franco and the Start of the 1992 Olympics. Most importantly, he shows that the Olympics itself wasn't the catalyst for many of the projects - the bid was more the result of a fast-paced revitalization of Barcelona following Franco's demise (for instance, the understated yet fantastic velodrome by Bonell and Ruis was finished 4 or 5 years before the games). Copiously illustrated.
