A practical book about creativity and how to generate ideas. The book is divided into two main sections the first is the process that you go through when generating ideas and the second section is methods that you can use in the different phases. It's by adding this section that the book becomes much more valuable and practical. Many books exist around the generation of ideas and creativity, but they are either more theoretical like Little Bets or based on a company like Creativity Inc (About Pixar). The only other more practical book on creativity that I have come across is Thinkertoys: A Handbook of Creative-Thinking Techniques. The layout of the book is nice and reminds me of Business Model Generation. With the practical content, it's a book you can return to many times. I have already used the method 6-3-5 for a workshop at work.

I used to work in PR and the methodology helped us boost the creative outputs. However, I recently started a new job in marketing and now I am applying the framework for product and proposition developments and I am just starting to see the real value from it.
