Zach is essentially a sweet and obedient child, but when he gets hungry, the monster in him comes out. As he starts to act out, his mother prepares a nutritious and healthy snack for him to eat since she realizes what's happened to her usually compliant child. Zack is not interested in the healthy foods she offers him and wants candy, but his mother gently but firmly insists that he eat what's good for him. As in the other titles in this terrific series about moods, the monster vanishes, and Zach is back to normal. The situation is quite relatable, and caregivers can learn a thing or two from the actions of Zach's mother while little ones also can realize that there are actions they can take to keep that monster at bay.
