This book is a reproduction of an important historical work. Forgotten Books uses state-of-the-art technology to digitally reconstruct the work, preserving the original format whilst repairing imperfections present in the aged copy. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in our edition. We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works.
The format could be a useful study tool but the particular Q&A's are a perfect example of how mythology (and worse) used to be taught as history. Just horrible.
This is a drill-style resource or study aid, and since it was published in 1896 it is a historical artifact that reflects history teaching methods of that period, memorizing dates and events. The entries are concise, typically comprising a single sentence or two per question. The tone is didactic in nature, with an objective to impart fundamental historical facts rather than to foster critical thinking or cultural sensitivity.
