Just getting into the Colorado 14ers, so this is a nice introductory guide. I like some history and this book includes some basic historical facts about the peaks.
As a beginner in this world, I guess I wanted more information. I don't think I'd feel very prepared if I just used this as a guide before heading up some peaks. The information is fairly rudimentary, the topos might be worth something. But overall, there's a fair bit of info lacking for the beginner. What to expect in different seasons, more info on some of the roads into routes, etc. Definitely a good starting point but I'm researching a whole lot more before I go anyhwere.
