Michael Halbouty was from a Lebanese immigrant family, who studied engineering and became a wildcatter for oil. This is a similar story to my father's who sought to discover oil and did so just before the Depression hit. My father, if he had had the education of Halbouty, would have perhaps become as rich. The two men knew what they wanted and worked hard to get it. Both stories are inspiring.
