The critically acclaimed memoir. Hilarious anecdotes, aphorisms, assertions, assumptions, quips, thrusts, japes and screeds. An inexhaustible well of joy, anger, wonder, confusion and truth.
Paul Epps is an author, teacher and technologist living in Orange County, CA. He has a BA in journalism and an MS in computer science from the University of Southern California. Fight On!
I liked most of what I read (I didn't finish after I found too many comments that bothered me), but the comments about African programmers and diversity were too much as a non-white male programmer myself.
A goodreads giveaway A very easy read that should be read by every teacher, administrator and corporate employee. Epps hits all of the self importance of the "me generation " and "it is not my fault". Good advice with a hard view of "how to succeed".
I found this very interesting and pithy window into the life of the programmer. It's good to see Paul telling it like it is without fear or favour. I copied some of his comments to pass along to my friends and colleagues who have the same outlook. A good follow up from the Road to Serendipity x
