This is a terrible book. I'd give it zero stars if I could.
There is no indication anywhere in the title or blurb that this book is heavily focused on God and having God heal you. Yes there are actual psychological steps as well, but the heavy focus on God is irritating when expecting a book based on the science of psychology.
The Method is also a copy of Schema Therapy and I'd highly recommend Schema Therapy, which is based entirely on psychology, over The Murray Method.
I got about 25% of the way through before I couldn't read this any longer.
I may follow Murray's advice and burn this book "and allow God to receive the ashes". One less copy of this book in this world would be "cleansing the pool".

Love the theory and concepts of Inner Original child, Sobbing child and Angry child.
