Not my cup of tea. I read this because I had the opportunity to meet the author when he released this book. The cover and title enticed me to read it. I will tell you I never read the back matter to even have an inkling of the story. After reading it , I still don't think I have a clue. It's a deep mind expanding read covering many religious references including reincarnation, heaven, hell, angels, and other things. The POV, being written almost exclusively in third person was difficult for me to grasp. I'm accustomed to being inside the main characters head. Were I more versed in the subject, and the style this could have been much more enjoyable for me. As it was, I made the effort to finish it and post a review based on completion rather than "I hated it and closed it halfway thru". While not my cup of tea, it was still well written with lost of imagery.

Found this interesting; there were some chapters which held my attention, yet others I found myself skimming. That's probably why I was confused toward the end (read every word of the final third of the book); I probably missed some key details. Even so, I do want to read the next one, and will probably reread this one at some point.

Something Different

I have this book 5 stars because of the detail and story line. This book keeps you guessing to the very end. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys science fiction.

An Intellectual Read

I just finished reading Cosmic Egg Rapture and it has been quite the ride. Told as third person narrative, it has an old classic style to it. The point of view switches to first person towards the end and thrusts the reader into a more present day feel. The story is based primarily on the Christian view of resurrection but the lost city of Atlantis is also used, giving the tale a very mystical feel. I won't go into the plot for fear of spoilers but one thing is for certain, I may never look at a brown egg the same way again.
