You get a good picture of Eysenck from this book. You also learn about British Psychology in the mid twentieth century and personality theory. Cyril Burt's possible misdeeds are taken for granted by the author. It is interesting that Behavior Research and Therapy, a journal started as an alternative to ideas about Freudian therapy, is now mainly filled with articles about Cognitive Behavior Therapy, the major brand of talk therapy. Eysenck certainly was drawn to the controversial topics. He wrote a lot of popular books.
