A good introduction to the identification, components, and care of antique furniture. Unfortunately for me, the emphasis is on more valuable, high-style furniture from the 18th century, with little attention paid to cheaper or vernacular forms, or those made in the 19th or early 20th centuries.

Nevertheless, very informative and readable.
