Are you looking for guidance or answers to specific emotional health questions or other personal issues? If so, this book may be for you. Years ago Pam Robinson was cycling through the depths of depression and emotional turmoil. Desperate to find relief, she was introduced to the Emotional Process, a method of emotional release work....
There is truth in this book. I’ve read and used (with success) and love the healing code by Alex loyd and this very similar but this seems to go a step farther by the use of asking ourselves how has this trial or physical issue made me a better person? You need to tell your body that something good came from the experience so it’s willing to drop the painful side. The other difference was seeing the other perspectives from all involved and forgiving them. She suggests using an object and a color in your mind. This is very similar to Alex loyds book as he suggests you use imagery as it’s very powerful. Also, saying how you feel out loud seems to be helpful.
For those that may be interested in learning more about Emotional Release Therapy work, this book provides a great explanation of how it is used and what types of siutations that it can be used to heal emotionally (and physically since emotions can effect the physical self as well). It is amazing how the body DOES indeed remember everything. Just as a computer, it is wonderful to know that it is possible to reprogram ourselves so that we don't have to do lives based on old beliefs and patterns, but that we can do life using a new way that allows us to experience the fullest expression of ourselves.
This is like two books in one. Pam Robinson describes her own experiences with emotional release therapy and how she came to develop 'the process'. Then there's a brief section about how to use it in your own life and what the basic principles are.
It was a good book, and very helpful, but it was rather brief. Since I have used the process before myself, I didn't feel like I was learning a whole lot of new things here. But it was worth reading. Probably more enlightening for a person who has never tried emotional release therapy.
This book is for when you are ready to work on yourself and make yourself a better person. Not that I agree or relate to many of the things she is talking about ... but I think of my own baggage that needs to be worked on. So if you want a light, easy, read, this isn't the book : )
