I just stumbled upon this author...
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was so real and I was already familiar with the characters, as they are all the characters in any hood. I will definitely keep reading.

wow while i'm left with questions i liked this story so much, can't wait to see how part 2 goes, you almost feel sorry for the mother but her choices messed up everything and how will her kids survive, come on part 2! this book had me on the edge of my seat until the final page!!

Too good to be true!
If it's too good to be true, unless it's coming from God, it always is and ALWAYS sent by Satan. This family like so many others were living beyond their means so when tragedy struck the devil now had a foothold. Maureen should have let the house go and downsized and I still couldn't figure out why she did not apply for Social Security death benefits or why her unemployment caseworker didn't tell her? Maureen could have simply got her a bag of weed and called it a day but she allowed that white devil called cocaine to take her soul. It also amazed me how quickly Maureen allowed this new lover around her kids but I see women even in my own family do it everyday. Although written as fiction this story is very much real life. I gave it 5 stars because it deserved it!

Couldn’t put down.! Just from one tragic event from another, Leticia and her family experience life and death. They try to be strong, until Maureen(Leticia’s mother) meets a handsome,rich& fun-having man she meets one day to becoming even closer.
At first Leticia& her sister resist the idea, especially with their dad just passing, but as soon as they meet the man, everything is easier.!
I highly recommend this book and the whole sequence!!!

Awesome
In the beginning I was in tears because of Kurt, but then I was enthralled at how st and slow Maureen was. She fell hook line and sinker for Demetrius and never questioned anything, like why he never had anyone at the office except her and the receptionist, or how were the people that stole their insurance money. Loved it but gotta get to part 2.

The tragedy that led Maureen down the path to destruction was well described and the demise of her family after the death of her husband told in an interesting way. There were a lot of editing issues however which were kind of distracting. Otherwise, though I didn't love it, it was a pretty good book.

An interesting read
This book was off the chain. I really didn't see any of this coming. If she only trusted in God, and not man, she'd have been fine. I highly recommend this book to everyone.

This book started off normal then something tragic happened. Very sad. Then things got worse. Maureen met who she thought was her “KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR”. He turned out to be a WOLF in SHEEPS clothing!!! That ending.....WOW!!!!

Good read
Despite the title this was a good read. I've avoided this author's books because I didn't expect much with his titles. This was actually good but it's hard to believe someone originally from the hood could be so darn gullible.

Good,Bad,Worse
I love books by this author, but with this book i wasn’t feeling the beginning but as i read more i was in the edge. I wasn’t expecting the end to explode in my face I was like wth. I just knew Demetrius was to good to be try. Now I’m waiting for part 2.

Good read, but the book is not what you think. There are times in life when things don't go as you planned them out. Maureen put her faith in man instead of God and ended up in a bad situation.
