I enjoyed this play a great deal. It is well-written, like many Gurney plays, but it also has some great characters, many of whom are to be played by the same two people. This is something he's used elsewhere in his work, but I think it is used to great effect here. The main storyline is also topical for the middle-aged crowd, particularly those who feel they're entering a new stage in life.
