Spokane Words: A Twisted Tale from Luna's Attic grabbed me from the beginning and held me captive in its grasp until the very last sentence. It then managed to leave me craving more.
The story begins with you learning about Raychelle Carter and her complicated relationship with her parents, her friends and her boyfriend. She has never got to experience life. As far as her mother was concerned, adventure equaled recklessness and danger. Her father was her confidant, but even he couldn't oppose her mother. Her best friend, Sofie, boosted her up and gave her a solid friend to confide in. But she also knew that Raychelle's mother was a lot to deal with. And then her boyfriend...wealthy, educated, a good catch, but disinterested and unaffectionate. And her mother LOVED him. So, when Raychelle decides she can't continue to be with Rick, she confides in Sophie. A plan is put into action to end her relationship in a way that will be irreparable. And it works... Maybe too well.
Aside from Sophie, Raychelle has one place that she can go to find refuge and support. It is a virtual bar. Other lost souls go here to escape life and find stories written by people more broken and lost than they are. The only rule is that you cannot give real information about who you are. Obviously, it is designed for safety, but some rules are just impossible to follow.
After writing a few stories under the name "Lost Soul", Raychelle begins to read stories written by the "Haunted Man". His stories are tales of loss, torture, and despair. And Raychelle becomes very interested in her haunted man.
After a series of life altering events, Sophie finds herself in a life she wasn't ready to embark on. But fate had a twist she couldn't see coming. Thanks to a work trip, she finds herself in Las Vegas and she makes some choices that will change the direction her life will take, in ways she never expected.
She meets a mysterious man, who piques her curiosity and opens her mind (and heart) to the possibility's life can offer when you take chances. He, however, knows EXACTLY what possibilities HE is willing to offer to this lost soul. And after spending a few days getting to know each other, they part ways with the promise to see each other again. Once again, fate is cruel, and things spiral out of control.
But, once again, life had a plan that neither of them could imagine. Eventually, truths will come out and then decisions must be made. Do you live the life of safety, or do you follow your heart and soul to be with the one person who makes you feel things you never felt or knew you could. A choice that both of them must decide... Will they make the same choice?
Are you hooked?? I was. And I can't wait to see how twisted the tale becomes.

What an amazing tale!
I can't wait for Cheryl 's next book do out in October. Her character development makes you really care for them. They are so flawed but you have such hope for their eventual happiness. I just couldn't put it down and neither will you. October seems forever away.😥
