This was a supplementary text that we utilized for a social policy course that I was in this semester. This was an interesting book because I often forget that organizations that are part of a profession can have stances on aspects of the world we live in. This book highlights the stances of the National Association for Social Workers surrounding various aspects of the world. You can find the NASW stance on many topics including food security, immigration, and more. If you are a social worker, having a copy of this book would be very beneficial to understanding aspects of the professional from a policy and professional standpoint. it is dry because it is focused on the official stances from the organization, but it is also very informative. This would be vital reading for those that are focusing on social work from a macro lens.
