This children's book by Ron Carter gives a good glimpse of Salt Lake City during Brigham Young's time. It's exciting, plus I learned more about church history.
Someone is printing and passing counterfeit money around Salt Lake and is trying to make people believe Pres. Young is behind the scheme. Pres. Young sends Orin Porter Rockwell to 15-year-old Seth Dunn and asks him and his friends to try to find out who is behind the scheme. Thus, these five friends become Brigham's Ghost Brigade.
It's a cute book and the first in a series.
The only thing I didn't like was the proofreading. Most every page had double words, words left out, letters left out of words, etc. I don't understand how a publisher (Harbour Books) can be so sloppy.
Yikes. Introduction ...scheduled May 10,1889!!!! Brigham Young died in 1877. Would not have been there. Hope it was a typo that can be fixed to the correct year if 1869. Please somebody
