As the study took place in 1964-66 it is showing it's age, at one stage the author talks of the participants saying "one month was required to build the P&L", clearly technology has had an impact since then. The study, while looking at 4 divisions of Industrial Products, still only considered one conglomerate which I believe is a weakness. Nonetheless, the description and laying out of the process was useful and brought a new dimension to how one could view the way some projects succeed over others and why others take much longer to gain momentum than others. Overall though the narowness of the study and length of time since it was written means I cannot recommend this.
