A collection of 25 photographs of fair-haired female performers, both famous and obscure, from the Hollywood of the 1940s-60s. The photographer, Bruno Bernard, was well-known for his portraits of Hollywood stars, and is credited with promoting pin-up photography to a recognized art form.
Just picked this cute little thing up at Half Price Books for $1. A pocket-size photo book featuring retro stars and starlets of Hollywood photographed by Bernard's of Hollywood, compiled by Bruno Bernard's daughter. Not really much text to speak of here; it's established that Mr. Bernard had an eye for the blondies. I just knew, flipping though this breathtaking book, I'd have to have it. The omission of dates with the photos is a bit annoying, though. Reference is made here to Marilyn Monroe not being "blond all over." Whatever.
