The end times have seen a great amount of interest within the last two decades. The Iraq and Afghanistan wars, the Arab Spring, ISIS, and the Iranian stand-off have focused us on the future of the Middle East - the center of the Bible's prophecies abut the last days. Yet there hasn't been a comprehensive overview of biblical prophecy and eschatology for more than five decades.
Mark Hitchcock's book is that comprehensive resource for the twenty-first century reader. The End will provide a solid biblical foundation for Christians to explore the essential truths around this topic - the end of the world.

Repeats many of the ideas in pre-mill which have circulated for the last 40 years. It lacked the depth I was looking for and did not justify with scripture the specific future claims. Instead we are left taking a surface interpretation of english translations and then map them to things we are familar with in 2023. The author repeats many times "I Believe" this or that to be the best interpritation so this book does represent what Mark Hitchcock belived at the time it was written. As for learning more about "the end" we have beter books to chose from.
