From the time of the great depression with the state of mind working hard as a sharecropper to becoming a landowner, yes from a sharecropper to a landowner. This was the mind set of a father that did not know his father, because his father left while he was very young never to see him again. Meeting his future wife at the time not knowing that the conversation he was having with her would intrigue her to fall in love with him. She was should a beautiful young lady at the time, a young lady that if not for the friends of their mothers he would not even be having the conversation that intrigue her heart. Which the conversation was about one day when he have a family he would never leave them. She knew then and there that this man is going to be a family man, a husband. Yes, she loved the mind set he had. And as the years went on he prove her to be right. The way he raised their children the love he show them, teaching them to always want more, to always wanting to learn more, telling them this will lead to having more. From season to season the work that had to be done, and the work that was done became the reward of the younger sibling because they all got to go to a negro college in the state that they lived in. But check this out one of the sibling which was a twin and could past for white, and because she felt mistreated at the negro college she got into the State University, yes where she got her degree, as did her sibling they became teachers, and one became and officer and a gentleman in the military which at that time was on heard of which he was the other twin. This family the love and the fun of growing up in. Only to read is to know more. Oh yea, I will give this the older sibling even though they did not get to go the college they also did alright in life. Oh, one other thing they got to have the most fun like going to the juke joint on Saturday night, but had to be up early on Sunday morning to go to church. Any of you ever done that?
