Tale #1 - Chesney's Chainsaw by James Norcliffe - it sounds like a slasher movie perhaps, or at least a serial killer tale -- but no, it is something all together unexpected, and quite good.
Tale #2 - The Bell by David Somerset - another good story. These are not the HORROR of King or Little, but they are quick, good little horror stories. And this one involves Sharks -- again Gaia will be avenged :-)
Tale #3 - The Body in the Driveway by Bob Kerr - and another one..how often does it happen that you like all the stories in an anthology? And another one that fits for Gaia -- and for this one, it is the Afterword that is truly worth reading. Bob Kerr is a funny guy. :-)
Tale #4 - The Children of Cullinane by Joy Cowley - okay story, not as good as the others...a bit more sci-fi than true horror in my opinion, although I suppose it does qualify.
Tale #5 - Shelob's Lair by Martin Baynton - A good horror story..nice. More about what is imagined than what is actually there, but that is what always scares me the most. the imagination is a scary place (ok, MY imagination is a scary place ;-)
Tale #6 - The Witch by Kingi McKinnon - This one is a horror story like Stand by Me is a horror story. It is a tale of what boys can dream up (literally) - a good story though.
