Death Betrayal and Love, Book 2

Sex & Homicide, the title promises just what it delivers! This second in the series leads us with Nick and Izzy, happily married and enjoy their life without kids. Full of hot, passionate moments, these two scorch the sheets. But is it enough? When life takes a tragic turn and Izzy is hurt badly, times for this couple get rough. Recovering from chemical burns, Izzy has to deal with healing, reliving the scene and her scarring. While trying to get her life back, Nick has to learn to deal with their new normal. Add in Jake and Julia's wedding, the hunt for those that caused Izzy's condition and Nick's mom's new love interest, and we have a lot going on! There is passion, pain, love and hope with a lot of suspense! This is my kind of book and I totally enjoyed it.
Bolton Hill is great with his narration of this book. I love his voice, and his portrayal of Izzy and Nick is spot on. He gives Izzy the emotional feels of all th changes going on in her life, but his best work is with Nick. He is complex and you can feel his anguish and frustration dealing with his life as it turns to hope. Wonderful rendition of the story.

Sex & Homicide: The Big Fish Case (Death Betrayal and Love Book Two) was another great read by Paula-Michelle Trotter. Nick's job is to hunt down killers and Izzy is an independent career woman. They knew that they didn't immediately fall in love with each other but they had an intense chemistry. But neither on thought that Izzy would become the target of a killer. I absolutely loved reading this book and can't wait to read more of this series.
