My name is Mary Fallon, I'm eighteen years old, and a few months ago, I came to Egypt to visit my best friend Carol. As it turns out, I never left, because I fell in love with a young Archaeologist, and with God, whose immense love I first experienced in a dream when I took a nap in an ancient tomb. I can hardly believe I'm an Egyptologist's Admin now, living luxuriously by myself in an apartment on loan to my boss by the mysterious Matthew J. Waters while he's away in Europe. Being in Cairo is thrilling, but I'm also beginning to realize how dangerous it can be. My lucid dreams are intensifying, and they seem to be making me more lucid in my waking life as well because I'm rationally questioning concepts I always took for granted, reincarnation for example. Carol is expecting a baby, while I'm expecting and hoping Stephano Guardini will soon be more than just my boyfriend. The only problem is that Owen, a beautiful yet sinister lucid dreamer, can't seem to take no for an answer.
I was born in Havana, Cuba. My family moved to the U.S. when I was eight months old and I grew up in Fairfax, Virginia. Reading, writing and history have been my abiding passions ever since I can remember. In college, I majored in World History, and minored in English Literature and Cultural Anthropology. My most recent works are the Biblical Romance, "Dreaming in Egypt-The Story of Asenath" and Joseph, and the non-fiction "Lucid Dreams and the Holy Spirit."
Before becoming a practicing Catholic, I wrote several erotic romances. An experienced lucid dreamer, I am a member of the International Association For the Study of Dreams, and a regular contributor to the Lucid Dreaming Experience Magazine.
I read through the three books back to back, I was so enthralled by them. I just couldn't put my kindle down. I really hope the next chapter to this story comes out soon. I can't wait to see Steve and Mary have their wedding. I definitely give this book a two thumbs up!!
This is the third book in the series and I've now read all of them. This one was a little different from the first 2 and I found myself wishing for a happy ending. I would say my heart pounded when I saw that one of the characters (I'm not going to say who) clinically died for 2 minutes and then came back. I've read if near death experiences quite frequently and everyone has a different experience. I will say that this one was a bit darker than the other 2. I enjoyed the historical information on Cleopatra put into the book. I have to say I liked the other books a bit more than this one but I'm glad it ended on a happy note.
I received this book from author in exchange for an honest review and my opinions are my own.
I hope there is more coming on this Egyptian romance. The author is so good at describing honest relationships, including sensuality and spiritual thoughts, it would be disappointing to miss out on the ‘climax’ (after the wedding, of course).I find it so annoying that romance writers always get the sequence backwards, thus misleading so any girls into dead-end relationships. This book paints a picture of something so much better to aspire to.
