I can't believe I'm the first to review a book! This book is a project from the heart of two Huntsville, Alabama women. They tirelessly and determinedly researched and collected lost writings of a local woman from the 1800's. This collection is five stars. As for the content itself, the writing is, obviously, very old style and I found it a little hard to understand some things, or perhaps a little bored by it, I should say. I was only able to read one story in the evenings before bed; the stories are only a few pages long, so that was easy to do. It's not the type of book that you could quickly read from cover to cover. These little stories are wholesome, Christian, and pure and take the reader back to a simpler time. Now that I'm done reading the book, I'm going to tour the Weeden House Museum in Huntsville to see where the author of these stories lived. Kudos to the women who put this book together!
