“I need to make sure Yara’s really for me. She’s seen the good, had my back through the bad, and I need to know if she’ll stick around for the ugly.”
Still reeling from Quade’s near-death experience, Yara handles being the girlfriend of a savage with kid gloves. She showers Quade with the affection he’s been missing while in exchange he gives her the loyalty she’s always craved. Fair exchange quickly becomes robbery when Quade demands more from Yara than she’s able to give, and sends her straight back to the dark times of her childhood. The monsters that haunted Yara’s childhood have nothing on Quade’s wild side, a side of him he’s always been able to suppress but never tame. When their relationship takes a devastating turn, Yara has to decide whether or not love will be enough to salvage a relationship that’s falling apart by the seams.
Quade has always lived life recklessly, with his acceptance and encouragement of death a rare trait, but in the eye of the very thing he’s always welcomed with open arms, he finds a new reason to live Yara. Her beauty, kind heart, and smart mouth have given him a new reason to live, and only as he accepts it his life is put on the line. Yara helps nurse him back to health, which proves to be a high point in their relationship until they reach the ultimate low. Quade’s inner demons come out to play, demons that he hasn’t relived since he lost the first woman to ever love him unconditionally—his mother. With his actions speaking louder than his words, Quade has to fight one of the toughest battles of his life with an enemy equally as lethal as he is. If he loses, he stands to lose the very woman to make him breathe again.
Known jokingly to everyone as an aspiring Griselda Blanco, Cash starts making serious money moves. She’s got a distributor in her pocket, her clientele is expanding, and the styling business she’s been dreaming of is nearly ready to launch. Cash goes from being a kept woman to keeping up with the Joneses, and for everything she has, only one thing is a relationship with Savion Townsend. In order to keep their situationship thriving, Cash piles one lie on top of the other to the point where she doesn’t know what the truth is anymore. And once those money moves turn bloody, Cash finds out exactly how ruthless the game can be when she goes from being the one holding the gun to the one staring down the barrel of it.
The second installment of When a Heartless Thug Holds Me Close weaves a story of being stuck on the wrong side of love. Will Quade be able to mend his relationship with Yara? Can Cash command the game and Savion’s heart? And most importantly, when given the opportunity to start over with a man that offers everything Quade has without the baggage will Yara accept, or does her love for Quade run deeper than she imagined?
I'm loving this STORYLINE imaginative creative and down right grimy it touch on so many different demons but the Rapper giving away his gift of HIV was crazy I'm stuck like Chuck where's part 3...OUT FREAKING STANDING
Wow, the amount of times my eyes have almost popped out of my head from the suprises in this book are numerous. Quade, my boo, can't catch a dang break! Corrine, Lord knows I wanted to strangle her. Cashmere can't catch a break either! She's trying to do something she has no idea about, learning as she goes, and she's hitting roadblock after roadblock. I need Yara to have several seats, date no one, trust no one. She's had it rough since the beginning. Ghetto ghetto ghetto smh I can't with him. He deserved everything and more. Amaya!!! Really?!?! I know part 3 is going to be CRAZY!! Leave Savion alone. Get it together Zeus, it's about to go down.
This book was so full of drama, action and suspense, then throw in all the twist and turns. Had so on the edge of my seat wondering what's happening next. The storyline and plot had my attention to the end and then some. It flowed really well and loved these characters. It was so many snakes slithering around and you didn't know who was who. And the secrets are coming out everywhere and i know it's more to come. Can't wait to see what happens next in PT.3
Tya did the darn thing with this book. It was so good. I’ve never read a book with so much drama...one after another. This is most definitely a must read. I couldn’t believe that nasty Ghetto. The last two chapters blew my mind. I can’t wait to read part 3...Great job Tya...you never disappoints me...
This story had me so into it. I love Yara & Quade together. The Townsend brothers are a force. I knew Amaya was up to no good. They trusted her way too much. I can't wait for part 3. As much as I enjoyed the writing I really need to what 'save for' means? I promise I have laughed every time I read it. But I understand each city has It's own saying.
Omg I can't wait for or 3 to be released....the drama is really heating up and I'm waiting to see how everything going to unfold. Ghetto was lowdown and got what he deserved. I hope Savion come through for Cash and they work out. I know amaya gone end up getting what she deserves for being shady.
This second part was crazy,I'm glad she took that HIV prevention meds like her doctor suggest her to do or she would have positive for the disease
I'm glad the brothers were so close even when angry bout done not so cool SAVION WAS a mess if that girl didn't have the sense of mind to stay focused she would be e been dead
Maaaaaaannnn!!!! First of all everything is happening so fast, cash got the ish going on, and she really has a good heart but looking at it from others points of view she seems heartless, i pray Savion comes and saves her, I’m glad yara doesn’t have HIV, on to book 3....
Where do I begin? What a great read. Very well put together. I really hate what happened to Yara and wondering what is about to happen to Cashmere. Smh...but deep down i believe everything is going to be ok just because of Savion. He loves him some Cash but trying to be tough. But he is about to come around full throttle. I pay its not to late!
When you know you have a winner you come back with a bang! That's exactly what this second installment is an explosive story that is running at top speed! The grabs you and refuses to let go until the end and still you are dropped off the cliff .This us just plain good and you are going to love every moment.
I especially enjoy this book defies because he book flows directly from the previous book and does so quite well. I am also enjoying the characters and how each of them are displayed in this series. I cannot wait to read the next book. Here is my blessings that the author continues to excel with next couple of books.
Can’t wait for the next book! Not sure how, but I have faith that the brothers will come out on top!! I really hope Savion saves & forgives Cash and that Yara & Quade come back better than ever! The writing/story line was great!
I need 3 now, I can't believe these brothers how you made about a sick man being dead. Amaya kill yourself now. cash baby girl hold on, ya you strong you got this. Townsend boys mess some stuff up stand tall and back your women.
The Townsend Brothers have snakes coming at them from all angles. Amaya playing both sides when they catch her. I'm still rooting for Quade and Yara. I hope Savion and Cash work it out.
I felt so bad for Yara and so proud of Quad for kicking his addiction. But that snake Corrine got just what she asked for. I'm sure how all is gonna turn out but that Ahmad and his clan gots to go..
Lawddd the pack is back with more drama than ever. I really feel bad for my girl cash but lies and greed will always be one's downfall. I am so rooting for Yara and quade. That darn Amaya better watch her back.
And it just keeps getting deeper and deeper.. I'm loving this plot line. Everything is like boom bam. Hopefully they full through this to. These Townsend brothers the truth to me right now!!
Ahmad is one sneaky sucker, if you’re so bad why hide in the shadows. I can’t wait for the brothers to get their hand on him and Amaya. Poor Cash done made a deal with the devil without even knowing. Let the games begin...
The book flowed great! However, the storyline is becoming a little too much. I love a good believable story. However the more I read things started to be a to much. That’s why I gave it four stars because it becoming a little soap operish.
Like if these people believe this damn game rl that just walk in they crazy as hell. I like this book but it got me mad 😡 it t how easy it is for some of these people to get over
Love the flow of the story from beginning to end. So much drama and action going on in this story. It's unbelievable the things people are doing that is very dangerous to one's well being and now the plot thickens. Great Read! ReneeG 👍
This was a good book. Lots of people died. It's crazy how in these books everyone automatically knows how to dispose of a body and no one ever gets caught. This book ends on a cliffhanger. Neither audible nor kindle has part 3!
I loved it just like the first! I'm about to enjoy this next one cause I know it's going to be even better than the last! Keep the amazing work up I love it!
