A rather dry lesson in communism. I thought with origin in the title it would discuss ancient examples of guerrilla warfare in Scotland etc but it focused more on Asian communism of the 20th Century. Looks at many struggles lesser known to popular history and discusses the differences with each country's form of communism. The sort of book LBJ and American Politicians of the 60s would have done well to read. The domino theory that precipitated the Vietnam war looks erroneous after reading this book.
