Taking the plunge… Lacy Caldwell’s mermaid gig at a cheesy roadside beach bar provided much-needed income while she pursues her graduate degree. That is until the beloved owner dies and her greedy nephew announces he’s cashing out by closing the bar and selling the property to a developer who’s going to replace the kitschy charm of the Mermaid’s Purse with ocean-view condos. Cameron Sanders can’t believe his good luck. Struggling financially, he’s thrilled to find out some random, ancient aunt he hardly knew died and left him an inheritance that’ll help take the money monkey off his back. He’s ready to go to the mat in battle when some annoying mermaid from the bar tries to throw a wrench in his plans. But things get complicated when he realizes that she’s a woman he’s started to have feelings for.

Lacy Caldwell was working at a restaurant/bar called Mermaid’s Purse as a mermaid while getting her master’s degree. Vera who owned the restaurant was in her seventies and was a Greek American. After Lacy’s mother died, Vera took over like a second mother. The bartender and piano player were also older and all were real characters. I got a kick out of them. Lacy had recently broke up with her loser boyfriend who was three timing her. She is invited to her friends wedding where the ex will be attending. The ladies encourage her to ask this good looking guy she has noticed at the gym to go to the wedding with her. Cameron Sanders is the guy and he agrees to go with her. They get along better than she could ever imagine. Their time together has its ups and downs.

This was a cute short book. Of course there is a bit of sex in the book too. I loved how the women who worked in the restaurant were so close and said some of the hilarious things. Cameron was a starving artist who doesn’t have much, but is trying to make a go of it. I loved the surprise he got at the end. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

Lacy is a mermaid. Not a real one, just a pretend one at the Mermaid's Purse. This is a bar run by a crusty old spinster who loves Lacy like a daughter. Lacy's pretty attached to her as well. The staff is a quirky mix of old and young character and the place is like a second home to her. Since she's busy studying along with this part time work gig, she's got no time to socialize. That's okay with her, till she has to attend her best friend's engagement party and face up to her ex boyfriend.

She needs a date. She's seen Cameron around her gym and shared a couple of yoga classes with him. Bolstered by the good folks of the Mermaid's Purse, she decides to ask him as her plus one. Cameron has been eyeing Lacy from a distance. He's a struggling artist whose got no money to make the rent, so he can't hop on to the dating wagon with anyone. Still it's something he would love to, especially if he was dating Lacy.

Then the owner of the bar dies and leaves it to her distant nephew. Now Lacy's heard that the nephew is planning to sell the bar and she's worried about her job and the legacy of the bar going down with the bulldozers. She's all set to light one into the nephew, when she comes face to face with Cameron. The characters at the bar make it sound like such an interesting place. I enjoyed the situations that they go through, especially the yoga class downward dog was funny to imagine.

Lacy Caldwell loves her job as a mermaid at the tacky little tiki bar she works part-time. Her job
helps her pay for her graduate degree and other necessities. All goes well until her beloved boss dies and Cameron Sanders, her boss's impoverished nephew inherits the bar. Cam is delighted with his new situation. Here is the solution to all his financial problem. He can sell the bar and finally get out of debt. The only thing he didn't count on was Meg determination to keep him from selling the bar that she loves. Another thing Cam did count on was falling heads over heels in lust or is that love with Meg. As for Meg she also didn't count on being so completely enamored with Cam. This sweet sexy romantic novel is a real winner and you will certainly want to read Falling for Mr. No Way In Hell.

I received this advanced copy and I am freely posting this fair and balanced review.

I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. The author made up some great names for her characters. Billy Crapple is the ex, he apparently he was crap, lol. Lucy meets Cameron in the gym and asks him to be her pity date to show Billy she was over him. Cameron is a starving artist who needs a place to sell his paintings. Lucy has a part time job working as a mermaid in a tiki bar, she gets to swim in a pool with a mermaid tail on. I think it would be fun to be a mermaid in a tiki bar, I would even go to it if there was such a place. It's not until later in the book that Cameron inherits the bar and confusion starts when he is not sure what to do with it. This was a fun read about the starting of a romance and the obstacles put in their way. I would recommend this to all who like a fun short read with some hot sex.

This is a fun and sexy book that I just loved! Lacy is working her way through school as a mermaid and finally ready to get back out dating after breaking up with a horrible loser. Cam is, almost literally, a starving artist who is secretly lusting after a girl at his gym. Unfortunately, he doesn't think he has anything to offer to a girl so he hesitates to ask her out.

Circumstances with a bit of serendipity bring them together in a very sexy tale that made me smile. If you enjoy the genre you will love this book. The author is on my must read authors' list.

This is another book in the Falling for Mr. Wrong series.
Lacy works at a restaurant making mermaid-dressed performances while studying to earn her college degree. At the same time, she is interested in a young man from the gym, with whom she soon begins a relationship.
Cameron is struggling financially to survive, and when he gets an Aunt's inheritance, things can get better for him.
Some twists in the story made it interesting, but I thought the ending was too hasty, it could have developed a little more the history of them
I recommend the reading.

Jenny Gardiner does everything right in this story. Lacy and Cameron are easy to like and you want them to find an HEA. The secondary characters are quirky and charming. The mermaid shtick is fun and different. When I sit down with a romance, I want to escape reality and finish with a happy sigh. Mission accomplished!

I have so much fun with Jenny Gardiner’s books and this one is no exception. They are just the right length for a quick read full of humour and sauciness. An artist and a mermaid, what a fun combination and I loved those amazing characters working at the bar.

Yet another solid delivery from this talented author. Cam and Lacy are both down to earth and completely relatable. You won't be able to not root for them. This series just keeps getting better and better!

Lacy and Cameron are too stuck in their lives to approach one another, until Lacy gets a small push in his direction. A funny, quick read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
