It's an okay read. I've had business, social media and advertising training during one of my yoga teacher trainings. I was reading this as a refresher.

I knew most of it, but learned a couple of things. Although you do wonder about the information as the author repeatedly points out that she has actually failed at this business from a monetary standpoint.

I am not a fan of the author's tone or views. She seems to think she is above others. I particularly didn't care for how she thinks of and hires college students. It sounds like she expects them to be perfect: amazing gpa, extracurriculars and an overly sunny attitude, but then she underpays them.

I read this through my Kindle Unlimited membership. It was fairly time consuming. So I think it was the only digital book I read this month. Overall, I don't think it was worth my time or money. I feel like I can't rate it too low as it does contain a lot of information and is formatted well. You could skim it and then just really read the sections you need more information from (I should have done this).

A final observation: The author thinks she is funny, but is actually just cringey.

This book is perfect for someone new to the business world... like the majority of yogis and yoginis ;-)

I listened to the audio book in just a few days of driving around. For those new to entrepreneurship I highly recommend investing in the book to make notes, highlight and underline. There's a wealth of information and step-by-step guidelines to set a solid foundation to your business. You'll pick up to reference this book often.

This book is helpful for all yoga teachers; not just studio owners. Most yoga teachers are independent contractors, making themselves their own business. This book completely applies to teachers traveling to and from various studios. Think of your services as a business; you are not an employee... unless you are.
