This is book 2 of this trilogy, and I HIGHLY recommend reading the first book, THE MARK OF CAIN, first, but be warned you will be absolutely hooked !!
Trying not to give away too much to spoil either books, i can say that i really couldn't wait to dive into this second part, i utterly disliked Cain at the beginning of the first book and by the end i had totally switched without even seeing it coming... and yet again this author has really thrown me for a loop. Amazing work!!!
This book revolves around Oliva Fox, now retired FBI agent, Cain her previous mark for a case (who she also fell in love with), isn't willing to let things lie and is determined to seek her out and claim her. Her returned from the dead husband, who she thought she had lost 7 years ago, Neil, and her former FBI partner and best friend Jaxon!! Confused yet? Trust me you won't be, but you will be lol. This author writes in a way that not only drags you in, she takes your emotions and claws at them, twisting and turning, and not knowing where or what your going to find on the next page. This is definitely one of the best HOT Suspense novels i have read in a long time. Olivia is thrown, when Cain re-appears in her life as if it wasn't confusing enough coming to terms with Neil returning and her emotions and plans she had looked forward to with Jaxon. I truly inhaled this book, and my loyalties were split each and every way. Yes i wanted Jaxon, no no Cain, maybe she should stay with Neil? I changed my mind with every page, as this author weaved her web around me. This book will engage you, this book will have your mind in shatters, this book will leave you with a hangover you didn't even see coming, and it will also leave you high on a cliff edge, desperately seeking more, yes more and i still don't know where its going to take me, or who she can trust, because there are sides to these guys personalities that are coming out that leave me with so many thoughts storming my brain. Who she needs to choose or even trust, if any!! The web tightens and the suspense has been built perfectly !!!

This is book 2 of this wonderful series and I absolutely love Cain! Although he is a narcissistic psychopath he has his sexy and insuring qualities!
