When journalist Sandy Ebelson decides she needs a breakout story to advance her career, where does she set her ambitious eye? Why, on the Castle, an infamous BDSM resort that has plagued her small town for years. Sneaking inside is only as difficult as buying a ticket and filling out a fake application, but when Sandy finds herself matched to ex-military masters Eric and Reeve, carrying out her investigation grows quickly more complicated.

Especially when it comes to Master Reeve, whose rough touch and dark authority make her body respond in ways she’s not at all prepared to understand. Sandy will do anything to get her story, and that includes pretending to be his submissive. What she doesn’t yet know is how much of what she’s doing is really ‘let’s pretend’ and how much is the real her, giving her heart to a man she has every intention of betraying.

Publisher’s Note: Like all the other stories in the Masters of the Castle series, this contemporary romance can be enjoyed as a standalone. It contains elements of power exchange, explicit language, and MFM ménage scenes.

Shame on me! How could i have waited so long before reading Seducing Sandy?
Did i really need the reminder that the Dad Bod Doms gave me?
Because i LOVE the Masters of the Castle!
Even though i didn’t really like Sandy at first.....
That high horse she sat on when i met her didn’t look good to me,and i KNOW it didn’t look good to the Master of Masters,Marshall!
In fact the only reason she was allowed into the Castle was because he knew her boss, and he told him she wasn’t that bad....
So,she gets not one,but two Masters, who need to keep a close eye on her.
Those two i did love from the start!
Ok,i loved Reeve a bit more than Eric,but that’s because i’m not a little.
And those thoughts....YUM!
Oh,yes...i love Reeve a lot more!

Sandy was determined to find out what kind of illegal actions took place at the Castle.
And even though she’s assigned two Masters, she intends to get the evidence to prove it.
If only they weren’t distracting her like that.....
Especially Reeve, every time he just looks at her, touches her, commands her, disciplines her....
Oh,stop it! Focus!
When she dóes see something she just knows is immoral, she knows she needs to find the files concerning the persons involved.
Having grown a conscience doesn’t help, but finding out her laptop is gone, she knows her time’s up.

What will happen when she goes through the office?
Will she find what she’s looking for?
Is it what she thought it was?
And when she gets caught, what happens then?

More importantly, how does it make her feel?
About her actions? About the way it affects others?
Especially a certain Dom.....

Even though i didn’t like Sandy at first, she grew on me.
She stood her ground, fought for what she thought was right.
Even though she was wrong...
And when confronted with her mistakes, she made ammends.

The submissive hiding deep within her recognised the Dom it needed.
And even though she did them wrong,Reeve was man enough to admit he’d made mistakes too.
He admitted she’d crawled under his skin, into his heart.
But to start a relationship built on lies,thát wasn’t a good idea....

It was só good to visit the Castle again!
I know i’ll be back......

DISCOVERING THE TRUTH

The story is a great addition to the Masters of the Castle series, which each story reads well as a stand-alone. There will be key people in the story from previous ones, but if you have missed them, you won’t be lost. The Castle is a secluded and very private BDSM castle that has been constructed in Ohio, salvaged from a castle in Scotland that was going to be razed. It gives the guest the true feel of a Castle, with dungeon, etc. but still has modern conveniences and state-of-the-art security. It allows both singles, and couples to play in a safe, sane, consensual arena of non-judgmental, like-minded folks, while offering total anonymity during the stay, with each guest using a fictitious name during their stay. The Castle has both Masters and submissives that work there for the enjoyment of guest.

While many people in the nearby community of Granger have tried to cause problems for The Castle, they have been unsuccessful. Actually, the town has prospered from added business and tourism due to the guest who travel for a booked stay at the Castle. No one takes their vehicles on the property; they are met in town and bused to and from the Castle. Many journalists have gone out of their way to sneak pictures, and even get into the castle, but have been caught and prosecuted. Why does local journalist, Sandy Ebelson believe she can succeed where others have failed?

The story will have Sandy showing up at the Castle, and at a meet and greet she will be the last guest to be confronted by two masters, Eric and Reeve, who are to be with her and not only give her an experience but keep tabs on her at all times. While Sandy refuses to use the Castle chosen name of Ginger, she will learn so much during her short stay, about the kink and proclivities of various people, and about herself. She will discover that there are certain proclivities, like being a Little that she doesn’t like, but dominance is a turn on, even exhibition affects her.

“Dominance and submission was a game because there were rules, codes of conduct, expected behaviors that both sides instinctively exuded, and there were times when it should be played, and there were times when it should not.”

When she sneaks around and witnesses a scene between an older gentleman and younger girl, she believes she has proof that underage children are being used perversely. Stealing a master keycard will have her breaking into files to steal, all in the name of getting her story. But what if she is totally wrong in her assumptions, even when she is caught in the act?

“You’re not the first person to sneak in her under false pretense. You’re not the first one to try and take down from the inside. You weren’t even close. You didn’t do any research. You didn’t follow any tips. You didn’t do anything except imagine the worse possible scenario and then look for whatever you could to make us guilty of it! That’s not journalism. That’s persecution.”

More than one person will be affected by her time at the Castle and her betrayal. Will Sandy be able to apologize and make amends formally? Will she be absolved of her guilt?

“I told you to stop apologizing; you told me to give you hope. The problem is, it’s not hope that you want; it’s absolution, and absolution only comes one way. And it’s not via the things we can easily take.”

“She felt –bad. Not naughty, but bad. She was a bad girl who was now facing the consequences of her terrible actions. She waited for the dread, but oddly, what she felt more than anything else was a relief. It wouldn’t be pleasant, and it wouldn’t be fun, but Reeve was going to take care of it.”

The Delight
A young reporter wants the story of the year. Believing she has the story of the year: sex trafficking of minors. She goes undercover. Two Doms are assigned to Sandy, making sure she stays out of trouble. Trouble finds them in the most painful and delightful ways.

Review
Sandy is a local reporter tired of the local town beat. Saving cats from a tree and bake-offs, just aren't cutting it. Wanting one story that will jetson her to the top of her field, she decides to blow the roof off The Castle. She believes they are trafficking underage kids for sex. While her editor tries to dissuade her, he knows the head honcho, Master Marshall. The editor gives Marshall a heads up while also putting in a good word that Sandy isn't a bad person. Master Marshall is armed with the knowledge Sandy is a reporter and assigns ex-military masters Reeve and Eric to keep her out of trouble.

Master Reeve doesn't have a very good opinion of reporters. His time overseas was filled with reporters needing to be rescued or doing anything for the story. Masters are supposed to be calm, instructional, and firm, but Reeve feels none of that with Sandy. Of course, she faked her application forms and now Eric and Reeve must show her all the different elements she is missing while keeping her under wraps.

Master Eric is a Daddy Dom, so they start by making her a little, which pisses her off causing her to brat out. Master Reeve puts her back in her place and explains the situation of what being a little means to the people there. While Master Reeve is teaching her, he also puts her in a punishment position that jeopardizes everything. Put in a position and left alone, Sandy is assaulted by other submissives. Even if Master Reeve was just around the corner, he shirked his duties for his anger. I was angry over adult women pretending to be school girls doing something so immature to Sandy. Sandy was being punished and told not to move. The problem is they are at BDSM resort where people are put into positions for kink. By doing what they did, they showed their own maturity level was that of the role they were playing, but in the wrong way. What they did was physical and humiliating. It wasn't enough she was being punished already. Enough said. It was a scene I could have done without.

Without an understanding of BDSM, Sandy often fights and says things that show her ignorance. Master Reeve is determined to show Sandy what happens set out to betrayed The Castle. Judge, jury, and executioner, Master Reeve also comes off as an ass, just as Sandy comes off as an ignorant brat. Master Eric is involved in the scenes but his heart part of the love story. There isn't a love triangle and he isn't as harsh on Sandy as much as he teases her and puts her in uncomfortable situations. Being a Daddy Dom, he is more into the comforting side of being a Master. Master Reeve is the opposite. Rather he would pick up a cane to beat her ass and leave the comfort to Eric.

Sandy does end up doing something pretty terrible and just plain wrong. Master Reeve also does a few things wrong and is overly rough to the point of being violent. Both are wrong. Neither was right. And it was this ignorance and violence that drove me crazy! Sandy judged The Castle and Reeve judged Sandy. It was all very judgy and irritating. Reeve had every right to be angry at Sandy, but you never dominate angrily. Never! Sandy was reporting on a myth and wasn't fact-checking anything. Nothing! Reeve and Sandy were made for each other.

I can't say the story wasn't good. Master Marshall makes appearances throughout the story maintaining the most level headed voice. We get Master Eric who gets his own story later. The Daddy Dom thing hasn't been my cup of tea reading-wise, but he puts things in perspective about what people need. I never judged it, just not something that ever interested me.

The ending is a little abrupt, but with every book in this series, I have felt this way. The story wraps up nicely. My biggest complaint at times is everything happens at The Castle and while everyone falls in love, what do the odd person not working there do when they fall in love? Kaylee became Marshall's assistant. Hannah assists Sam. Sara not so sure if she works or not. O, or Tavy, worked in the town. Sinclair (Maybe) opened a sweets shop in The Castle - they even have a chocolate room for guests to play with chocolate (I think that was Chasing Chelsea where we saw that scene). Chelsea is paying off her debt to Marshall while also working as a clerk in the sweet shop. That's not everyone, but you get the idea that how many more Masters can fall, lol.

I started this series and went in order only to find out there are a lot of offshoot stories other authors have written and anthologies. According to Goodreads, this was the last story in the series, but as I dug around, I found all the offshoots, anthologies, and even one labeled #29 in the series. Over the next few weeks, I will be reviewing some of those books before I get to Winning Winona. There is a lot that happens after this story. Something that when I read Winning Winona, I didn't know. So I will try to review them in order of storyline.

This is the first book of the Masters of the Castle series that I have read. Judging from the description of the Castle, I think I could really enjoy the other books in this series. However, this one, in my opinion, was tougher to enjoy because I disliked Sandy. Sure she came in under false pretenses as a journalist looking for illegal activity. Even after she started to show a submissive side, she just was too much of a brat and not very likable. But the potential is definitely there so I would like to read more of this series, just with a better female lead.

Interesting BDSM story. I liked Eric and Reeve. The information and detail about the Castle was interesting. I didn't like Sandy. She was arrogant, judgemental, and immature.

This is a standalone and the first Masters of the Castle book I have read. I think I may have enjoyed it more if I had read earlier books. I felt like I didn't have enough background on the Castle or its employees.

I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.

This is my first full length novel by this author though I've read some of her work in the Black Light Roulette collections. It won't be the last book of hers that I will read either. This book won't be for everyone - in fact there was a time I would have been uncomfortable reading it. However my reading preferences are now much darker, edgier and I like having my boundaries pushed. Certain scenes in this book push my personal boundaries the author also did an excellent and yet unobtrusive job of showing how all activities were SSC.

The book is written third person, mainly from Sandy's perspective but with enough of Reeve's thoughts to appreciate and understand him as a character too. I found Eric's presence a little distracting. He often (and I'm assuming deliberately) felt like a spare part, though I did like the cabin scene and permission.

Sandy was amazing, I loved her strength of character and how she retained this throughout the story. She owned her submission and ultimately was in control of everything that happened to her. There were so many times when Sandy's thoughts of the situation echoed my own, it even giggled a few times at the similarity of our outlooks. At other times her blinkered attitude was almost annoying - but it was pertinent to the plot rather than poor characterisation.

Reeve was so conflicted over his feelings for her and how he should treat Sandy. At times this leads to quite disappointing, and almost "unDommly" behaviour from him, however Sandy definitely tried his patience and pushed his buttons. Even after his internal debate over chasing after a sub he didn't seem to fully act on his instincts. I would have liked the author to have shown us a little more of his internal conflict and the motivation behind some of his actions - did he think Sandy wouldn't accept him, did he want to give her the chance to live her dreams or was he just being pig-headed?

This isn't a 'vanilla BDSM' book, it is designed to make you feel uncomfortable. Whilst it technically isn't a non-con or dubious consent book it does, at times, have darker tones. If punishment, humiliation and explicit sexual scenes are not your thing then it probably isn't for you. If you do decide to read it please don't leave a negative review having been warned of it's content.

Seducing Sandy is hot, but in the end I just could not get into it because Sandy was a disrespectful little brat who didn't deserve any of the good stuff she got from Reeve and Eric.

Sandy is a journalist determined to write an exposé on The Castle, a place she imagines traffics in underage girls, women, drugs and any other vice one could think of. Despite her editor's repeated warnings, she manages to get herself into the place and paired up with two thoroughly hot Doms who are only too aware that she's a journalist. Reeve is a veteran who's had negative experience already with an embedded reporter while he was deployed, and he'd rather not babysit another reporter thank you very much. Eric is Reeve's best friend, a dom, too, but of a gentler type than Reeve. But, when Master Marshall assigns the two of them to initiate Sandy, they can't exactly tell him no. Reeve determines he's going to break Sandy for daring to lie to them about her true reasons for being at the Castle and for pretending to be a submissive. Let the *good* times roll!

I will be the first to admit that Seducing Sandy is seriously steamy, it's damn near erotica levels, but the emotional connection just did not feel real to me. Most likely because Sandy was such a thoroughly annoying character. Reeve (and Eric) deserved far better than a judgemental, immature little brat like Sandy. And that is why I cannot honestly give Seducing Sandy more than 2 stars. If Sandy had been equal to Reeve and Eric, I probably could have given this 4 stars, because it's well written, it's sexy and the BDSM details are thoroughly entertaining. Unfortunately, her character is so ridiculous that it brought the level of the entire story down 2 freakin stars.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Maren Smith’s Masters Of The Castle series has been one of my favorite BDSM series for a while now, (Though Maren probably doesn’t know this because I read most of them before I started reviewing.) Now, I’m totally jealous because it’s another Sandy. But, that’s how it is when you are a blogger.
Sandy is a reporter, and she’s determined that there are horrible things going on in the infamous Castle. She figures there’s underage sex, drugs, and sex trafficking. So despite her editors warnings, she manages to get herself into the Castle for the weekend, determined to get the real story. Master Marshall, however, knows exactly why she is there, so he assigns her to two doms, Master Eric and his friend, Master Reeve. Reeve hates reporters, especially after having to deal with them during his time in Afghanistan. So he plans to break her.
Let me be honest here, Maren does what she does best, writes some over the top steamy BDSM and punishment scenes. I admittedly couldn’t decide who I was more frustrated with, Sandy for her narrowmindedness, or Reeve for how he behaved. He broke a whole lot of rules in the dom behavior book, and Eric helped him. So I definitely felt bad for Sandy at times. (Then she’d go and do something stupid!) But, you’ll just have to read to see how it all ends up!
One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. Use these resources. DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. It's not fair to the authors. They work extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the authors an extreme disservice. (Thanks WhiteWitch519 for the use of this paragraph!)

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Masters of the Castle series, some more than others, but Maren Smith's particular voice is always an immersive reading experience. My personal litmus test is when I can feel and smell the environment an author created in a story, and for the period of time I'm reading, I can't feel my reality.

I felt castle walls, and the heat of flickering torches; horse-drawn carriage rides in deep cold and the warmth of secluded cabin fires. I felt righteous indignation and dawning enlightenment; self discovery, bitter remorse and maybe most difficult of all: self-forgiveness.

And I laughed. Long and hard sometimes. Not at Sandy's antics as one might expect, but at Reeve and Eric because of all the things I felt, I felt most...I don't know: encouraged? as the two of them took their turn on the benches outside Master Marshall's office. It was a quite inappropriately happy place to see the two Dominants when they not only weren't "on", but when they were decidedly...not!

The story wasn't all lightness, nor was it just about someone discovering their submssive side or falling in love. While not a lecture about judgement in any way it does embody the concept, and is, at least adjunctively, an uncompromising look in the mirror of preconception.

4.5 very appreciative stars

Journalist Sandy is obsessed by writing a really big story. She suspects that there is criminal activity at the Castle, and she persuades her boss to let her go there on an undercover assignment. What Sandy finds at the Castle is a man who makes her blood boil and her pulse beat faster. Nevertheless, Sandy is determined to get her story, even if it means she will betray the man who captured her heart.

Seducing Sandy is book eight of the Masters of the Castle series. I squealed in delight when I found out that the series continues after such a long time. I read the whole story in one sitting. I adored Reeve and Eric, they were so different as dominants and yet they complement each other. The intimate scenes were very steamy, and when the both dominated Sandy at the same time it got very hot in here. Sandy on the other hand - there were scenes when I wanted to throttle Sandy and then I also wanted to cuddle her. It was such a rollercoaster ride of emotions, but I enjoyed each and every second.

Sandy In The Castle

Sandy is a journalist who wants to get an expose of the illegal activities she is sure are happening in the Castle. Sandy's editor/boss is friends with the Master of Masters in the Castle and warns him of Sandy's drive to get her breakout story there. Erik and Reeve are assigned as Sandy's Doms and to watch her closely to see if she causes trouble or breaks ant of the rules. Sandy is a total newbie with an attitude that gets her punished and she begins to see what being a submissive truely entails, but she hasn't uncovered their nefarious activities at the Castle yet, so she endures. I always enjoy reading about the Castle and this was no exception. Sandy left a lot to be desired but that could be me and my feelings. Sandy struggled too much with her savior complex and she never stopped trying to see trouble when there was none to see. Stubborn must be her middle name. I was satisfied with the final conclusion at the end, something that always leaves me happy I read and enjoyed a book! You can't lose with a Masters of the Castle story!!!

Seducing Sandy is the eighth book in the Masters of the Castle series but can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the storyline as Reeve, Eric, and Sandy played a cat and mouse game during her visit to the castle. As a reporter who did not do her research before her assignment and with a misconception of what BDSM really is, she had no idea what she was walking into or what emotions she would experience. At the same time, the author shows that even Doms can make mistakes and have to find a way to redeem themselves. This game between these characters leads to plenty of laughs, tears, spankings, hot explicit sex scenes, misunderstandings, and a whole lot of entertaining throughout the story. I did feel a little let down at times with how the characters only really showed that intense connection during part of the book and not throughout the entire read. However, overall I would recommend this book for a great nights 5 star read! I voluntarily received and arc copy of this book!

Wow, great addition to the Masters of the Castle series

I have been reading and loving Maren Smith's books for many years and was really excited to see a new Masters of the Castle book. It's been almost 2 years but well worth the wait as this book is outstanding.
Sandy is paired up with both Eric and Reeve when she goes to the Castle undercover searching for a story. In the course of the weekend Sandy discovers much more about herself then she ever expected.
All 3 characters are well developed and believable. The sexy scenes absolutely sizzle, with a plot that moves seamlessly. It was fun to see glimpses of some of the characters from the previous books. This book works solidly as a standalone, but if you haven't read the previous books you are missing out on 7 really wonderful books.
I received an advance reader copy.

I think if this was the first book in this series or the first book by Maren Smith that I read, I would add her to my list of authors I don't like. However, I've read the other books in this series and additional books by this author and I have liked them. For that reason, this gets three stars instead of two.

Sandy, who I didn't like because of her quick assumptions, gets into the Castle as a guest. She thinks no one knows that she's actually a reporter out to take them down for their assumed illegal and immoral activities. Nevermind that there are only rumors to back up the assumption and no statements by any actual guests or staff.

Reeve and Eric, who both don't like reporters, are assigned as her Doms. I thought it was to show her that they run a legal and moral business but it quickly seemed like they were just out to punish her and not in a good way. There is so much anger behind their actions that it often seems like bullying instead of dominance.

Her eventual actions make it easy not to like her and to see why Reeve and Eric don't like reporters. Their eventual actions border on immoral almost proving her assumptions. I understand that she's in the Castle, but that doesn't excuse the behavior in the office. At that point, Reeve's behavior felt almost abusive when she was trying to explain and defend her actions. As she said, if she'd been correct her behavior would be understandable.

The ending was abrupt and again her actions had me rolling my eyes. So much was unresolved that at the very least their should have been an epilogue. This story was really disappointing.

This is the most recent in the Masters of the Castle series by Maren Smith and oh how I've waited for it! And warning, it's not like the others! Amazingly well written, with interesting characters, great plot and wonderful scenes, this story is different from the other books in the series. While the two main characters do end up with their HEA, the way they get there is darker, harsher than in other books. This is a great addition to the Castle series. However, if you are looking for a sweet romance, this is not the book for you. Reeve is harsh, and throughout most of the book seemingly quite mean to Sandy. However, I was just as happy for their happy ending as I have been for any other characters in this series. If you like Maren Smith and the Castle series, then you will like this book. Just be prepared for a bit more roughness than other Castle books.

I am so excited to read a new addition to the “Castle” series. This is one of my most favorite series. This particular book, Seducing Sandy, is a roller coaster ride of emotions. I wanted to hate Sandy because she was there to ultimately hurt the characters we all have come to love. I just wanted to shake her and explain how wrong she is. Then there is Reeve who has a chip on his shoulder from the very beginning. I was down right mad at him with the way he treated Sandy in the beginning. However, as the story unfolds I was in tears for Reeve and Sandy. I could see the relationship forming and falling from their grasps. I am trying hard not to give away the plot but Maren Smith has written another hot and erotic book here. Don’t miss it. It was awesome. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Girls YouTube Channel – Stacked with Reviews (not this book though!)

NOTE: This is a bit of a series review rather than each book in the series!)

Okay let's put my cards on the table shall we - I needed smut, I needed Alpha, I needed 'Sir's and 'Sweetheart' endearments and control. I found it in these. They are written by different authors but they keep the continuity of the whole 'Castle' really well. You have the BDSM Resort through it's early stages, through big events like disaster and Charity Auctions - and I have loved ALL of them.

I have read 10 single titles in two weeks, plus the chunk of Witness Protection books that come in one compendium - and I just realised I missed a whole other chunk so I will be back to them soon... but...

It's not high flying writing, it's mostly realistic, certainly all the BDSM play stuff is but some of the quickly falling for each other is a little squiffy. I will say that the psychological issues dealt with by the 'Masters' or 'Sir's throughout the books was really well done and quite affecting in places.

OF NOTE: Owning 'O' is deeply affecting, or at least it was to me.

PLEASE READ THE TRIGGERS - there are quite a few in there and mention of quite a full things.

Many of the books are written by authors who are in the lifestyle and I think that shines through in the writing.

I have looking forward to a new Master of the castle book for a while, so i was excited for this book.

Sandy is a reported who just knows something illegal is going on in The Castle. there is only one way to find out. Pretend to be a submissive. Eric and Reeve are assigned to keep on eye on Sandy.

What follows is a journey of self discovery, denial, hope, pleasure and a lot of mistakes and bad choices on the way.

I has mixed feelings about Sandy. She believed she was doing the right thing, but went about it the wrong way and without any real evidence. It was a hard character to really like, because she went in there with false pretences and does some real inmoral stuff. There were glimpse of the real Sandy though and I liked her a lot better.

Why is Sandy so convinced of evil goings on at The Castle? And why does Master Marshall allow her entry when he knows she is a reporter? Who knows? But it makes for one explosive story. Sandy is matched with friends Eric and Reeve. Master Eric is the fun one, but Master Reeve is strict and demanding. YUM-MY! Master Reeve does not appreciate ‘babysitting’ snoopy, judgmental reporters and hates even more the way his body responds to Sandy. He exudes the ‘hate-lust’ that makes for one amazingly angsty, sizzling read! It’s unclear how this can end in any way other than disaster. But along the way is a lot of sexy deliciousness. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sandy is a reporter who hopes one day to become a great investigative reporter exposing evil and helping victims, instead she works for a country newspaper reporting on community events. She badgers her boss for the chance to report on the "Castle- Largest BDSM Dungeon" in the country. There she is placed under the care of two Masters who introduce her to a lifestyle she is not sure she wants but discovers she needs. I loved this book, it was captivating reading from the start as Sandy discovers a lover that teaches her about her about what is important in her life and love.

Sandy talks her editor into paying for a visit for her to the infamous castle - a BDSM vacation spot. She has heard all kinds of things about the place including drugs and sex with children. She needs to get in there, find out what's really going on and write a big expose to launch her journalistic career. Reeve and Eric have been assigned to watch the little reporter, knowing all along what she is trying to do. Reeve wants to hate her but ends up falling for and even tries to protect her when she goes off the deep end searching for files A lot of angst coming from Sandy in this book. A good read and the sex scenes between the 2 doms and her are inventive. I always enjoy Maren Smith's books and this one is in my 'must read again' category.

I'm really glad to see this series pick back up. This one finds Sandy, a reporter, trying to find what she thinks are The Castle's deepest darkest secrets. Reeve has a real issue with reporters after his time in the military, that distrust makes him the perfect Dom to keep Sandy out of trouble.

I love the extravagance of The Castle. It seems each story in the series builds on the opulence and fantasy. Sandy and Reeve weren't quite the perfect fit like the characters from the previous books. They just couldn't seem to make it work. The author did well keeping the drama between them going and interesting until the end. This isn't my favorite book from the series, but it's definitely worth reading.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I liked it but not a lot. I found it VERY hard to stomach that EVERYONE around Sandy knew why she was there and instead of confronting her or not allowing her to come to the castle, they not only allowed it but seemed to want to catch her in a AH HA moment, and then ruin her. RUIN HER. Because why else would they allow this?? If they really wanted to show her they were fine and upstanding, why not actually invite a reporter in that they trusted to write a great article? I could get behind that book! WHY did they allow this to get so far, especially when he was friends with her boss? I just...... and the thing is, I really liked the dynamic between the two. I didn't think Daddy was necessary to their story. I really like this series so this was kind of a weird let down to me.

Seducing Sandy is another excellent addition to the Castle series. This time the dominants are Reeve and Eric who are given a client, Sandy, who is actually a very naive, undercover reporter who is convinced that Age Play is a euphemism for pedophilia. How wrong could she be! There is some real humour woven in amongst the pantie melting sex scenes of this latest book. As usual M. Smith gives us a tale that has you wishing for more even after the ending was everything I'd hoped for! 10 great big happy stars!

It's great to get another Masters of the Castle book - hopefully the first or more to come. As with all the previous books, this is standalone, but does feature characters from the previous books. Don't worry it you haven't read them, following the story won't be an issue. As with the other books, this is well written with vivid characters & an interesting plotline. The only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is my dislike of Sandy. Sure, she hid why she was there but I found her very unlikable & undeserving of Reeve.

this is a interesting read and the characters add to an interesting read as well. I liked that it was from the two points of view, but wouldn't have mind it being from the three even with the outcome. The BDSM wasn't over the top like in some books I have read and added to what Sandy was putting herself through. I can see myself reading other books in this series as it was an easy going read. Seducing Sandy by Maren Smith is the Eight book in the "Masters of the Castle" series.
This book deals with Sandy a journalist working to get a story about the Castle but also finding an interest there for her personal life. Although one of the Masters there does take an interest to her but they know who she is even if she is trying to keep it a secret.
I have yet read the previous book so I not sure if that would have helped my enjoyment or not. I just didn't connect with the characters as I would have liked.
I did enjoy the story but just didn't make a connection.

Topnotch bdsm stories

All the Castle series are 5* to me.
Great setting.
Novel ideas on how a Club can work.
The Doms feel true of course in a fictional world.
Marshall is the Dom of all Dom's.
But Reeve ooh lala I feel the heat.
I like the chemistry of both protagonists.

I await anxiously all new additions to this series.
In my top choices of bdsm tales. Thanks Maren you have brought a clearer picture of this world. Until the next one.

Sandy wants to be a reporter with an exclusive on The Castle. Master
Marshal talked with her boss and he allowed her to come to snoop about
but under the scrutiny of Master Eric and Reeve. She lied on her application
and so when many lies abound it is up to Master Eric and Reeve to show that
they will not let her get by with this. The twists and turns in this novel are many.
This is a great read as stand alone novel but you should really read the whole
series, you won't be disappointed.
