American Government: Continuity and Change
This book covers all topics such as the Constitution, federalism, civil rights, civil liberties, political behavior, and public policy in a way that is rich in historical and comparative perspectives.Explores issues that the original Framers of the Constitution could never have envisioned and shows how the basic institutions of our government have responded to these new demands. Each chapter begins with a vignette focusing on a high-interest real issue or incident, followed by a bridge paragraph linking the vignette with the chapter's topics. The text has been revised and updated throughout to reflect the sweeping changes of the 1994 and 1996 elections.

I didn’t just read Austin Blues I felt it. Every smoky club, every guitar riff, every courtroom battle pulled me in. Sandy Eden’s struggle with his past and his relentless pursuit of justice broke my heart and lifted it at the same time. This book is raw, beautiful, and unforgettable.

Required by the State of California for college, this book is chalked full of facts, processes, and organizational structures of government and politicians that are best kept from reaching the cognitive stage of identification, much less symbolism, mental representation, and thought.

Reading for my government class for school. Actually has some good information in it. Not too bad of a text book, especially considering I don't really like government.
