One family. Eight sisters, tangled in romance. Emery Moore moved away from home after finishing her juris doctorate. She was a successful corporate attorney and had been living in Washington D. C. for the past five years. It wasn’t often that she returned home to Atlanta, but the love of her family drew her back. Emery had success in so many facets of her life, but she hadn’t been as lucky in love. The word love was unsettling for Emery; it was loaded with notions of submissiveness and sacrifice, the loss of self and being dependent on another person. Notions Emery wasn’t sure she wanted. Yet, there was someone Emery couldn’t shake her soul loose of and she tussled with her heart and the sensible tug in her mind daily. Evan Stanton Esq. had been an integral part of Emery Moore’s life for the past six months. He like she, was an attorney. During the day, the attorneys at law litigated from different sides of the aisle; fighting with everything they had for their clients. But for the past few months, business was left at the door, and the fighting ended as Evan and Emery delved into uncharted territory. Evan loved how Emery felt in his arms. The curve of her hips, the arch in her back made it difficult to keep his hands off her. It wasn’t always like this. Emery had to be pursued, and although Evan was attracted to her unapologetic disposition in the courtroom, along with her sophisticated air, Emery was a challenge; one that Evan planned to take on full steam ahead.
This was my first book from this author....I was definitely looking forward to the story of the Moore sisters after reading the synopsis and messaging the author about make the Ali brothers an audiobook series....These sister are great! they are heavily involved in each other lives....They're lucky enough to still have their Great-Grandmother in their lives to dispense sage wisdom...there's several small plot twist...but the bottom line is Emory & Evan find their way and get to their HEA,,,,I'm really looking forward to diving into the lives of the other sisters.

"I Am More" by Celeste Granger
My Thoughts...
I found this read which featured Emery Moore and Evan Stanton a delightful read which brought in some interesting characters...the Moore sisters and a few others that bought the read out to the readers. However, I did have a little problem with a little bit with the story as I was left with a few questions that were not answered. But for the most part of the story I was able to follow and did enjoy the depth of the read. I really liked how this author showed the reader how trust is so very important in any relationship and I loved how the great grandmother was able to give the Moore sisters some knowledge of what it meant to be truly loved. I was also able to see the growth that was happening in Emery's life and what Evan did to win her was truly over the top.
So, will Emily and Evan finally get to that HEA? Well, you will have to pick up "I Am Moore" to see!
I was on a roll with this one until I hit several snaggs. First missing words or incorrect words. Then there was the issue of Evan being an Ethan in a paragraph. Then I was confused and had to start over again thinking that maybe I had the wrong name. There were a few spelling issues. Aside from these things, I was enjoying getting to know strong, independent, successful, Emery Moore.
Emery Moore was more than a pretty face. She was more than her success. She was more than the oldest of an 8-pack of daughters. We get to see her flourish and crash. She had things of her own to deal with and then there was Evan Stanton. He had been there for some time. He was that forbidden piece of fruit. That one night became too tempting. That bite of that fruit was always there. It just needed the right circumstances to fall in place.
Evan was a man that had got to that point in his life and knew that it was time to make evaluations. His first consideration under evaluation was Emery Moore. She was everything he could dream of and more. She was strong, independent, sexy, intelligent and more.
These two share the ups of forging a relationship with ones equal. There are trials. There are battles within. There are family and friends that makes for an interesting set of characters. For my first read from Celeste Granger, I would say good job. The excitement of seeing what is in store for the remaining sisters outweighs the issues that were found while reading my first story of this new author and new series
Such a lovely story about falling in love with a man who knows how to make his intentions clear. I loved the elements of the matriarchs of the family telling their stories of love and marriage. I wish there was a little bit more character development, but overall a solid book.
I actually like this series a lot. It reminds me of home. I have eight sisters in real life, so I can truly relate to this storyline. There were a few typos, however, not enough to detract from the storyline. I'm diving right back in, because I want more (pun intended). Bravo!
I really enjoyed the book it was a good love story. I cannot wait to read the next one. This was my first time reading this author books. I was impressed.
I enjoyed Emery and Evans story and learning of the Traditions. Samantha was a surprise, but I liked how the parents weren’t perfect but still loved. I think Emery held her grudge with her mother a little long but, she felt strongly. Ready for the next one.
I just love love. Man this story gave me all the feels and had me in tears but I can so see how past hurts can cause you to miss out on your good thing. Can’t wait to see about the rest of the sisters loves
Celeste Granger is a new to me author. I was drawn to this eight sisters series by this very beautiful cover and the interesting backstory for the oldest sister, Emery. What I loved about this story was the chemistry between Evan and Emery. These two had been dancing around each other for a while, trying to fight their feelings until they just couldn't do it anymore. I love reading about two people so drawn to each other, the air around them practically crackles with a fierce magnetism pushing them together. It's even better when they fall in love.
I thought Evan was sexy, smart, but also patient with Emery. I loved how he didn't play around with her emotions. He said what he wanted and worked hard to show Emery that she wasn't just a fling for him. Emery was also sexy and smart, and relished in her place as the oldest sister of the Moore Clan...the one the rest of them looked up to for guidance and support. As an older sister myself, I definitely understand her stance on that issue.
I would have loved to have given this story five stars, but I did find it to be very wordy; especially with the descriptions. I understand that the author wanted us to connect with the places and the characters; for us to also be able to identify with the emotions and thoughts of both Emery and Evan. I'm an avid and fluent reader, but even I got a little lost in all the overly detailed descriptions. And there were a LOT of other editing and grammar issues that made it a little difficult to wade through some parts of the story. With a few of the names being so closely similar to each other, they were often mixed up. I had to reread some sections to make sure who I thought was speaking was the person "meant" to be speaking. Also, I am a southern girl to the core, but I can honestly say that I've never seen nor used the word "yawl" for "y'all." And I definitely didn't understand the constant use of "eww" for "ooh." That just seemed rather strange and off putting to say the least.
I truly admire writers and their ability to create stories and know that it takes imagination, dedication, hard work, and the courage to let other people read what they've put their heart and soul into. Even though this is the first book I've read by Ms. Moore, I am interested in reading more of her work.
I absolutely loved this story! Evan was so intense, determined no matter what to get to their happily ever after! Emery put up a fight but this story goes to show love will win out in the end. I must say my one big complaint is editing, it was terrible and had me not wanting to continue at some points, the repetitious reviews of things already discussed, but the storyline was so that I just kept reading! I hope I see some improvement with Kennedy's story and I look forward to reading about all the others as well as Samantha who has a book already.
This is my first time reading this author but it won’t be my last. Emery was wounded so deeply from last relationships that she stopped living and was only existing. Even though she was very accomplished, she was alone. Evan was accomplished in his own right but he began to realize there was more to life. He wanted a life partner, his equal, to share it with. Their union was ordained. It is what they both prayed for and I’m glad they didn’t allow past hurts to block them from achieving it.
Ugh, so good! Emory was all work and no play, especially after getting her heart broken. Enter playboy, Evan, to the chat. Emory tried her hardest to not allow Evan into her heart but her pleases were in vain. I actually liked Evan a ton, he was super thoughtful and loving—his past definitely followed him. This love story was a great intro the Moore sisters and I am looking forward to more from this series. Emory and Evan set the bar high. I truly enjoyed this book! ❤️let me say, that ending and proposal had me swooning! It was perfect.
I thought this was an awesomely awesome book, however, the scenes were overly descriptive. I got so lost in the description the feeling of what the author was trying to convey between the two characters were momentarily lost. Descriptions assigned this book was a fantastic read. And I got to say I was happy that the heroine wasn't totally annoying. Can't wait till the next one.
I love how family have each others back especially sisters. Emery is a lawyer who find herself attracted to another lawyer name Evan. Evan and Emery falls in love with each other. Evan ex girlfriend does something wrong to try and break them up. Emery has trust issues with men because of what an ex boyfriend did to her. You have to read the book to find out what happened next. Good book.
This book was soooo good. I have never read a book by this author and baby she didn’t disappoint me at all. I love how the relationship with Emery and her family played a great role in this book. My heart went out to Emery when she though she lost the love of her life Evan. But when true love is at steak you will go through hell and high water to get your love. Evan and Emery were meant to be and they are finally husband and wife. Great recommendation Debra Walker I appreciate you girl.
I really enjoyed reading this with so much peril going on the world. It is a great love story with a beautiful power couple. I could hear the song when a man loves a woman. I enjoyed the sisterhood and great family dynamics written in the book.
I have a four star because of too many editing errors that caused me to have to reread a sentence to make sense of it.
I will still read the other books in the series because I love romance.
First time reading from this author and I'm not disappointed at all! Everything flow together and those Moore sisters are too funny and looking forward to reading about them! I love how Evan went after Emery and didn't stop! Good read!!
A few editing issues and instances where names were mixed up (Ethan instead of Evan) and some misplaced quotes, but overall, a good book and I will read more from this author.
I absolutely loved this book! It made my heart swell with how the author passed down Godly advice to her family and how it impacted each of them. All women should start this series and know what it is to be loved like a Moore woman!
I enjoyed reading Evan and Emery's love journey. It took a lot of love, patience, and pursuance for Evan to love Emery through her past hurt and trust issues. He never let up and in the end they got their HEA.
I started this series from the end with extended family that moved me to search for more of the Moore family and what a find. The love of a lifetime was penned here and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
I enjoyed reading this book! Wow it was so emotional! I couldn't put my kindle down! I enjoyed the storyline and the chemistry between the couple! This book was so hot and fantastic! Such an amazing book!
This was a very good good book I really enjoyed reading it I'm so glad that they finally got together because that's the kind of love that I would want again it was really good.😍
Emery and Evan's story fit right in with what the matriarchs had talked about when explaining love. A pure example of love. Glad Emery and Samantha's relationship is starting to mend. Ready for book two.
Enjoyed reading about professional female opening herself up to love after the failure of past relationships. I would have rated the book a 5, however there were a few proof reading errors. Still looking forward to next book in the series.
My very first read by Celeste Granger, and it was very good. The author is very descriptive and spears no detail s when painting a scene, which I enjoyed. I just would have liked a little more dialogue between the characters, but I did enjoy the story.
