Comprehensive overview of American Civil Procedure, tracing its development starting from the common-law era through to today. The well balanced mix of academic scholarship and case cites made the text both readable and interesting. It was probably overkill to use this text soley for my 1L civpro final, nevertheless reading it helped to make the course material more interesting and easier to understand. Which will surely be of help when it comes time to challenge the bar exam.
