Meh, the author is now writing for the money. The story needs to end. Originally I love Ellie and Aiden enough to overlook the word vomit this author uses for the sake of word count. Conveniently Ellie is an Indie Author and needlessly explains her writing process, the need to have a certain number of words written every 20 minutes and how little money these authors make. She even mentioned in book 3 or 4 how most of the successful series are 5 books long - and that was the intention of Auctioned to Him, but here we are in #8 - beating a dead horse. It's pretty obvious the first few books were good, she found a following and is now exploiting that.
Nothing happens in this installment, I wouldn't even call it a book. It is less than 60 pages, for several of them once again Ellie schools us on the trials and tribulations of being an Amazon Indie author, complete with details about readers wanting free books, 99¢ books etc. It's an author pity party of one! Quite frankly, I don't even think there was a steamy scene, Ms. Byrd needs to move on before she loses her following, there are too many great indie authors out there for anyone to waste their time or money on this series any longer. JMO

Fantastic Read Once Again from a Great Author Charlotte Byrd.
This roller coaster of a read just keeps getting better and more thrilling now in book 8 of Aiden and Ellie’s superb story. Ellie is now pregnant and not sure if she is ready for a baby and how her life will change. She still grieves for Caroline and her tragic death and her unborn child. Did Caroline commit Suicide? Her Letter to Ellie says she did! Brie Ellies’s Rebel stepsister gives her a great pep talk, who makes Ellie’s decision easier. Brie has her own gender issues too. She at last gives Aiden the news of her pregnancy, he has great news himself too. Blake keeps taunting Aiden and the worst happens! Don’t want to spoil the book for other readers but hey you just cannot guess the ending of this continuing great read. This is my honest review of an ARC I received.

Now that Ellie discovered that she is pregnant but, she's not sure if she's ready to be a mother. She is also dealing with the loss of Caroline, but on the bright side her sister Brie comes to visit and they talk and Brie helps Ellie make some decisions. Later Aiden shows up and he and Ellie talk. She tells him that she is pregnant and he is happy about it. Aiden continues to be supportive in every way possible. Blake is still a threat to Aiden and Ellie. Aiden goes to get bagels for Ellie and ends up getting shot by Blake and then he attacks Ellie. Do Aiden and Ellie survive their attacks? Does Ellie decide if she wants to keep the baby? Well you truly need to read this book. I truly loved this book and highly recommend but, after you read the first 7 books in this series.

I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. OMG.... what a suspenseful book 8 turned out to be. It is full of an emotional Ellie who is not feeling well. Ellie's sister Brie comes to visit to get away from Mom and Dad. Brie is supportive of what Ellie is going through and Brie confides in Ellie about herself and Ellie is there for her too. They hug and cry together. Very moving. Ellie and Aiden makeup and Aiden is his usual self being extremely supportive in everyway possible. Then things get way out of control with Blake and Aiden, then Blake and Ellie. The end result is that both Ellie and Aiden end up in the hospital. Brie doing what she can. This is a quick read and medium paced. Shocking and emotional. Can't wait for Book 9.

Amazing sexy read. Very well written short story with great storyline and plot. The characters are well described and develops nicely. They are likeable and I had a great time reading this story. A story with twists that only makes it better and more captivating. A book with lots of chemistry and passion. Their relationship is developing all the time and has unexpected twists. I love this couple but I am looking forward to their HEA. Hopefully soon.

It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. An epilogue would have been very welcomed and would have finished to story better off. The story flows nicely.

i read this series as part of an arc program. I love this series, I love the story about Aiden and Ellie. In this eighth book, Ellie has just found out she is pregnant and has had a fight with Aiden about him bringing Caroline's suicide note to the DA. Aiden knows Ellie is just having a hard time with her best friend's death, but he is frustrated with her being angry with him. Ellie find out she is pregnant and doesn't know how to deal with the news. Ellie continues to keep Aiden away until she comes to terms with things. Ellie also has a surprise visit from her sister Brie, who brings some news of her own. Aiden also faces more problems with Blake. This series is amazing, I don't know what will happen next with them, I can't wait for the next book!

Really!

I am so glad that I have finally gotten smart enough to buy Charlotte Byrd's books on my kindle unlimited program. At least I am not throwing $2.99 away on 57 page supposed books. Come on! It gets worse thougn, in this. Book she tries to explain through her "character" how little authors make publishing books through places like Amazon! It takes her about 6sentences to explain how little they actually make, but please, adding it to your book? Feeling sorry for yourself much? The book didn't have much content this time, which makes this whole process even sadder! No ending again, this series could go on longer than I may live! I think we are now paying for graduate school for her son!

Just when you think they can't go through anything else - BAM! Book 8 happens!

Ellie and Aiden have decisions aplenty to make and Ellie finds herself taking on a new role in their relationship. Is their love strong enough to see them through this? Is she strong enough for the both of them? Will they get their HEA? Roll on book 9 for us to see!

Both Ellie and Aiden grow as individuals in this installment and no matter what they face them manage to stay together. I received an ARC for an honest review.

Ellie and Aiden's story continues in book 8. This book is full of surprises. Ellie is pregnant and not really sure how she feels about having a baby. Aiden's reaction is surprising to her. Evil Blake makes his return to make life difficult for the lovebirds. There is so much going on that you really have to read this book. This series continues to get better with every book!! Ellie discovered that she was pregnant at the end of book 7, but she's not sure if she's ready to be a mother.
She also has to deal with the loss of Caroline, but luckily her sister, Brie, appears to help Ellie make some decisions.
Blake remains a threat in the story, but Aiden and Ellie are able to sort this out permanently.
Aiden continues to be supportive in every way possible.
I'm anxious to read the ending of of Aiden and Ellie's story.

Life changing decisions

Ellie is pregnant, she can't decide what to do except to ignore Aiden until she can decide what she wants. Finally he comes to her house and she faces him and tells him she is pregnant. What comes next will take you for a ride. The saga continues with love, intensity and tears. Already wanting book 9 to come out. Can't get enough!

I was hooked from beginning to end. Ellie is pregnant and still angry at Aiden as well as morns for Caroline. Her sister comes to visit as well. Lots of drama and emotion is this fast-paced read. Looking forward to finding out what happens next.
