Linda Beaumont had no interest in a relationship, thank you very much. As a matter of fact, she wasn’t ready to settle down at all. As a traveling nurse, she got to see the world and help people, with all the freedom she could handle. She had her books and her family. She was content.
And then a moose happened. A moose, in the middle of the road, in Alaska, during the long winter.
Not even the most fantastic fairy tale could prepare her for the beast she found locked in his castle. Would being trapped with the monstrous prince and his two bravest knights prepare her for the battle with the deadly hunter? She was either trapped in a fairy tale—or a curse.
Snow Cure is a contemporary twist on an old fairy tale. It is a Reverse Harem - Polyamorous - Romance.
L.A. Boruff lives in East Tennessee with her husband, three children, and an ever growing number of cats. She loves reading, watching TV, and procrastinating by browsing Facebook. L.A.’s passions include vampires, food, and listening to heavy metal music. She once won a Harry Potter trivia contest based on the books, and lost one based on the movies. She has two bands on her bucket list that she still hasn’t seen: AC/DC and Alice Cooper. Feel free to send tickets.
Ellie, Arch, Wes, and Gray in Literary Yours. Now they are getting married and Arch's younger sister, Linda Beaumont is home for a wedding. She's a traveling nurse, seeing the country and helping people. she's not ready to settle down and is in fact, only staying for the reception then heading to her next patient in North Dakota. A change of plans/patients sends her to Alaska instead. One mishap after another with a final disastrous encounter with a moose leaves her stranded with a wrecked car and no phone once there. Freezing in the long Alaskan night Linda tries walking to the nearest house for help. The last thing she remembers is needing to take a short rest. Then she wakes up in a dark room with a grumpy man telling her to leave. As much as Linda would love to get away, there's a violent winter storm rocking the area. She is stuck with Mr. Grumpy, Griffin and his 2 friends, Ellion and Chandler until the weather clears. The men are gorgeous. If only she felt welcomed, this could be a great experience. But everything is not what it seems in this Alaskan cabin. There's more to these men than they are admitting and there is a threat to everyone in the cabin. This storm could turn out to be deadly in more ways than one.
Snow Cure has a Beauty and the Beast meets murder mystery feel to it. Linda was a fine lead female; an accomplished nurse, well read, loving, too nosy. Ellion and Chandler were fine as well. Strong, brave, smart, loyal. Griffin didn't work for me at all. The Beast was too ugly inside for me. His nastiness, his lingering 'attachment' to his former life, his reactions to Linda every second in Alaska didn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy toward him. Then it was too rushed afterward. It never felt right between him and Linda. I am over the women being turned on by mean comments and hurtful, disrespectful behavior. A professional, accomplished woman can do better and should expect more from a man. Walk away!
The murder mystery part of the book was suspenseful and added outside tension to the foursome. It also proved Linda's strength. I loved getting a minute with Todd! Great character. Every girl needs a Todd in their life.
This is book two of the Southern Soil series and the main character is Linda Beaumont, sister of Arch Beaumont from the previous book. Linda is a travelling nurse and has worked all over the country and my even get jobs overseas soon. She has no interest in a relationship and definitely isn’t ready to settle down just yet. Her work may be hard at times, especially when nursing someone at the end of their life, but she can bring them companionship and friendship in their final days. She also loves to read and that gives her the life she wants. She was on her way to the airport, straight from her brother Arch’s wedding ceremony to Ellie, as well as his two brother friend Wes and Gray. She was to fly to North Dakota, but was switched to another patient at the last minute, up in Alaska! It is an extremely long journey, with multiple legs and so by the time she gets into a hire car at the final stop, she is absolutely shattered. She isn’t used to driving in deep snow and so when she comes across a moose in the middle of the road, she crashes off the road trying to avoid it! She knows she is about a half hour away from her destination and thinks she should be able to walk the rest of the way, as the road is obviously deserted and rescue is unlikely. She puts on all the layers she can and has her hand and foot warmers, but the trek back up to the road is almost too much for her. She thinks that she has been walking for hours, but struggles with being battered from the crash and tiredness. Eventually she sees a mailbox and starts to follow what she hopes is a long driveway, but collapses in the snow, unable to get back up. She is rescued by a stranger and awakes in a bed within a large house, with a trio of occupants. Two of the men are friendly, but one just wants her out of his house! That is Griffin and the other two are Ellion and Chandler, who are apparently his employees, but also seem to be good friends. Griffin is a giant of a man, who is suffering from a lot of grief and is scarred on one side of his face. Ellion checked his internet connections and found the storm was getting worse and they were going to be stuck inside for a few days. They have no phone signal and lose their internet shortly after, so Linda is unable to let her family or employer know what has happened to her. Griffin’s treatment and attitude towards her is hard to understand and even Chandler and Ellion are finding it unusual. They are hiding secrets about who they really are and Linda is a naturally curious person and being told to stay out of his wing of the large house and also a secret office they need her not to find! With loads more of being ignored by Griffin and nasty looks whenever she comes across him in the shared living areas or kitchen, she decides that she needs to borrow one of their snowmobiles and make her way to her patient’s house. Not that she actually manages to find her way there, in all the snow! She turns into what she thinks is another driveway and she finds a barn instead filled with cars. She is freezing and needs to find something to keep warm, but instead finds a lot of items which show some of what Griffin was hiding away and the pain he is suffering from. The men get frantic looking for her, thinking she may be out in the storm and when she is found, it helps bring them all closer together. She should have mentioned something strange about the barn door she gained entry from, but by the time she is found, she has forgotten completely. When she goes to put everything back into its place the next day, she is knocked out and when she awakens, soon finds that there is someone there that is deranged and wants to kill one of the house occupants and doesn’t care if he kills anyone else in the process. He is also responsible for some events of the past, which have haunted Griffin ever since! There is a great deal of danger for Linda, but then also for the other three men she has grown to care for and like. This uninvited person has a lot of tricks in mind, to get his revenge upon Griffin and the others, for a reason he clearly believes in himself, but is absolutely twisted and far from any actual reality. She should have been looking after a patient and instead her life is in danger and not for the first time over just a few days! The situation gets sorted and it is time for Linda to leave, not that she really wants to leave the men! She goes back to Texas and gets a new job, missing the men, but helping out by getting her brother and his fellow brothers to help sort out an international issue for them all. Love comes easy for two of the men, but not as easily for the last. An unexpected addition to the tale at the end, but with a HEA ending for all in another polyamorous relationship. Another good read from this author. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Forced Proximity with RH (One Very Grumpy), But Then…
I've read a lot of this author's paranormal women's fiction, and for the most part, I enjoy it. So, I thought I would give her contemporary romances a try. So far, this is my second book, both in this series. Unfortunately, I am not wild about these books. While they may have some elements I like, so far, they also have other elements that have made me DNF the books after a certain point. Until I stopped with this one, it was a very slow-burn RH story with little happening between the characters whom I assume would become the members of the RH. Then the book took a very wild turn I didn't see coming, and even looking back, it wasn't properly foreshadowed. I actually like being surprised by plot twists, but they can't just be thrown in there without having some hints that make you say, when you review what went before, “Ohhh…Yes, that makes sense now.” I think there was one mention of a relatively small thing (a light being on in a barn) that could raise some suspicion, but it was so minor that it didn't even make a blip on my radar. Until this point, the book read like a standard forced proximity romance where one character has a deep wound in their past. So far, so good. So when all of a sudden a character we’d never heard of or seen before appears, kidnaps the heroine, and threatens one of the known group with death because of a long-standing grudge, it just didn't sit right with me. After I've chosen a book at a review site, I don't go back and read the blurb before jumping into the story. The blurb did state some of what this surprise was. However, authors should not rely on readers having read the book blurb to understand the book. The book should make sense within itself! Not recommended.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
I think the concept (a contemporary reverse harem) and the story itself (and the author because I low key adore her) but I think its not just for me.
Main reason was the characters. I understand their circumstances but sadly I wasn't able to connect or relate with them. They are not perfect and I do love flawless characters. But again, I am on the fence with these bunch.
Linda, I don't think I would suit well with her because she's very nosy and is the type to mouth off first before she thinks. I actually understood Griffin's beef with her when she was in his property, prying and minding things she shouldn't be minding. I am a private person so I don't appreciate that.
With that said, I think she's pretty brave facing Hunter. Also, how she did not let herself be judged when she wanted the three men for herself. Also, how she empathized with Amanda and understood and accepted how Griffin would always have a room for her in his heart.
Chandler and Ellion, I hoped they were more explored. I just thought the whole thing kind of centered mostly about Griffin so it slightly felt to me that they were left on the sidelines.
Griffin, well he's obviously beast personified. I also believe that emotional difficulties shouldn't validate someone being mean. I think the only thing I admire from him was his undying love for Amanda and Andee. I love how it wasn't downplayed like most. (You know how some reads will make the guy say he hasn't loved his previous lover as much as he did his current one just to make it all about the latter.)
What I can't get though was the supposed chemistry or compatibility between Linda and Griffin. Unfortunately, I just don't see the two being in a nontoxic relationship. Maybe it's just me though.
After reading Literary Yours I was excited that we get to see Linda find her own HEA. But, Linda- Arch's sister isn't looking for a HEA, she's happy with being a traveling nurse and being on her own. She's very content with having the family she does, traveling, and her books. While she's In Alaska, she encounters a moose that puts her In the hands of 3 handsome men.
These guys are so different and they really complete each other with their personalities, the love and respect they have for each other. Griffin, Ellion and Chandler are our guys for this story. We get a hint of mystery when someone breaks Into the barn the night of the snow storm. This story Is so good you see how much Linda cares about her patients, she treats them as family. You also get a background on the guys, and how they all came to be.
I love a "series" where it's made up of standalones but you read about other characters in either previous books or upcoming books. This book was different it's almost like Beauty and the Beast, but no dad to rescue, just a snowstorm and a moose. I can't wait to see what else L.A. Boruff writes next!.

This story definitely gave off alllll the Beauty & the Beast vibes you could ever want in a fairytale retelling. For the most part every single main plot point in the fairytale was revisited in some way throughout the book. Just like our fairytale heroine, Linda knows who she is & what she deserves out of life, and she’s not willing to just settle for any old man. She’s full of sass, and doesn’t feel the need to have a man save her. The guys don’t know what they’re in for when they rescue her from a snowstorm, especially Griff. All of the guys were the perfect balance for her though. I gotta say, as much as I enjoyed Griff (once his attitude changed 😉) & Chandler, Ellion was probably my favorite. He gave off big time hot nerdy golden retriever vibes, but then he upped the ante by being an amazing fighter & bada$$ too 😍🥵 I loved the added danger & mystery elements, and they definitely kept things exciting. While I wished there had been some spice to go with all the chemistry & sweet moments with the guys, the book was still good even if we only got FTB scenes. Wonderful story for when you want something lighter, but with a little bit of an edge to it ✨
I enjoyed this version of a snowed in romance with multiple guys in the picture. Each of the guys had very distinct personalities, looks, and backgrounds. The mystery of finding out that a man had broken into their barn during a snow storm added a lot of twists and turns to the story and enabled the author to explain about Griffin's past and how the guys came to be working and living together. They clearly respected and loved each other like brothers and the relationship felt very realistic. Linda has a job as a traveling nurse and is very close to her patients to the point of treating them and feeling like family. It is her willingness to jump in to take care of a patient in need that causes her to be in Alaska and ending up in a snow storm. Her personality shines through in her devastation that she cannot call the customer or her family to let them know that she is safe. Well done romance.

This is book two in the Southern Soil series. It's a reverse harem novel. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading book one first since this is Linda, Arch's biological sister and chosen sister to Wes and Grey. If you've read book one you get there rundown of their family dynamics. I enjoyed this book.
Linda gets diverted to Alaska to take care of a patient but on the way to the patients house she crashes her car. She's ok but the weather is bad so she heads off to find help. She passes out near Elliot, Chandler and Ellion's house. They take her in and patch her up. As she gets to know them, she really starts to like them but Elliot is always mad at her. She's still reluctant to tell them all about her brothers and their wife. The guys also have a secret and there's someone out to cause problems for them. Will they be able to find a way to make a relationship work?

I enjoyed this work as much as I enjoyed the first, so much so that I got distracted by reading this work and ended up late getting stuff done before children got done with school. It was great to see some of the characters from the first work, it is helpful to read the first in the series but isn’t needed to understand what is going on in this work. This story can stand alone from the first. I enjoyed the characters, each one was unique and it was great getting to know them and watch them grow over the course of the story. The plot was fantastic and full of twists and turns, making it different from the first work.
I give this a five out of five stars, the characters and plot were fantastic and I do look forward to more in the series and more by this author.

Once again we L.A. Boruff has taken a classic fairytale, made it modern and gave it a RH twist (this time, I saw Beauty & the Beast vibes).
L.A. Boruff takes us into a world of wonder with some great subtle fairytale references, fantastical wit in conversation, and a kickass female lead who won't take sh*t from anyone.
Here we get to follow Linda as she ventures into the cold Alaskan weather, getting stranded in a house with three gorgeous guys - two nice and one grump. But as we follow along in the mischief and mayhem that follows these guys around in Alaska, we begin to see just what it is that makes Griffin the grumpy man he is.
Another good reverse harem read from L.A. Boruff. This includes characters from “Literary Yours” but can be read as a stand-alone. You may appreciate the characters more if you’ve read the first book though. This book was about Linda, a traveling nurse driving through Alaska to see a patient. A car accident brings her to Griffin, Ellion, and Chandler. Griffin is the angry and scarred owner of the home where she stays to wait out the storm. Ellion and Chandler work for him. While waiting out the storm they must deal with both their growing feelings and the danger that comes out of nowhere. I didn’t expect the secret that the men were keeping but it made for a cool twist in the story.

This story was enchanting in a way because it reminded me of beauty and the beast. Instead of one man though we have three with the actual owner being a deeply traumatised person. This man has suffered one of the worst tragedies and his attitude towards Linda is terrible yet understandable. I was taken in by each male and how they treat the main female, especially when danger brings them all closer. This story amazed me and I was blown away by how emotional it was. This author never disappoints in my eyes and completely delivered something that I couldn't even consider putting down until I was finished.

There was a hint of Beauty and the Beast, and it was mixed with a big helping of romantic suspense. I loved the suspense aspect of this story, but I felt like it kind of overshadowed the romance. I adored Griffin. I really felt like he was the hero of the story even though Chandler and Ellion have their roles. I still can’t quite make up my mind about Linda. I liked that she was so self-sufficient, but there were times where I would have liked to see her use a bit more common sense. Overall, I enjoyed their story and was happy to see them get their fairy tale ending. (Loved the cameos by Todd, too.) I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
This is the 2nd book in the Southern Soil series and it features Arch's sister, Linda, who is a traveling nurse trying to make it up a patient in Alaska. Being from the south, she's not used to driving on snow and wrecks her car. Trying to find help, she is rescued by 3 men - one who is a rich recluse who has a tragic past.
She doesn't understand why Griffin hates her so much. The other two men, Ellion and Chandler, are great. But there is a foul plot at play and she gets sucked into a royal battle that could cost her life.
Linda Beaumont was a traveling nurse on her way to take care of a patient in the wilds of Alaska. Much to her surprise instead of reaching her patient's home she swerved to miss a moose.
With bruised ribs and pain she walked across the road where she met Griffin, Chandler and Ellion. As she got to know them, she began to wonder about a polyamorous relationship.
Will she fall in love with any of them? Is there a polyamorous relationship in her future?
Read along as the four of them and decide what happens! It is a story not soon forgotten.

Linda is a traveling nurse in Alaska on her way to see a patient when a snow storm hits and she gets in a car accident. She finds a road to a cabin and walks up in, collapses and Chandler, Griffin and Ellion find her. While Chandler and Ellion are immediately taken by her, Griffin is a jerk to her but he had tragedy in his past. She's trapped there with them a couple days because of the storm.
It would be best to read book 1 in the series as she is the sister to one of the guys in that book so you'll understand a little about her background plus characters from that book do pop up.
And of course I liked it! Gotta have a grump who needs to figure it all out. There are some really emotional moments. Great job!
This is about Linda and her three men- Chandler, Ellion, and Griffin. After trying to avoid a moose, Linda crashes. In a snowstorm she finds a house but collapses before she can make it for help. She wakes surrounded by these 3 men, one who wants her gone and the other two want her to stay. With a killer on the loose things got even more interesting. While the story is good, I don’t really feel the connection between Griffin and Linda as much as she has with the others, but it was also pushed as the main love interest for Linda.

I absolutely loved this! I thought at first that she was going to be all soft and girlie, but Linda is kind of a badass. She can defend herself, shoot guns and is independent, but she can’t drive in the snow at all! The men in this book are equally great, obviously with my tastes always leaning towards the jerks in books my book crush in this one was our “beast” Griffin. This was a fantastic read, I love L.A.’s writing and creativity and plan on devouring everything she publishes for all of time!
Linda is in Alaska to care for a sick patient. She gets into car accident is a little banged up. She sees a mail box and decides to go there for help. She passes out before she can get there. Linda wakes up in the home of three men. Linda can't leave due to the snow storm that is heading there way. Linda finds them all attractive. They will have an interesting time together.
This was a good book to read. You will enjoy this story as it unfolds. Linda is the sister of the men of the first book.

This story is a sweet reverse harem featuring Linda, a travelling nurse who loves to read, Griffin, who’s peace and quiet she disturbs when her car wrecks near his mansion, plus Chandler and Ellion, Griffin’s friends. The romance is all sweet and the action is very ‘closed door’, but their unconventional relationship is still perfectly emotional. Both Linda and Griffin are a bit of a character - not always likeable, but generally entertaining. Overall, I really enjoyed this book.
This was so much more than just a romance. There was a good deal of intrigue and suspense as well. The characters were great. I loved them all (even if I may have wanted to smack one of the MMC for a little while lol). While I did like the ending to the story, I almost felt like it finished to abruptly in a way. I would have liked to see an epilogue that showed them several years down the road. It was definitely enjoyable and will look forward to checking out more books by this author.

This is book 2 of Southern Soil series and it just as good as book 1. A RH fairytale retelling and so very good.
The plot was intriguing, exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and expertly wielded. The characters were what drove the story and they were very well drawn and likeable and perfect for one another. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

This story is amazing!! L.A has packed so much into this tale, second chance loves, poly love, and RH what more can a girl ask for in a romance?!! The quickly developed yet intense love between Linda and her guys was sensational! You will love Griffin, Ellion, and Chandler! They are witty, strong willed, and loving! I would love to see more of the Southern Soil families!!! Well done L.A. Boruff!!!
I love reverse harem and I was intrigued by how the author would turn a fairy tale into one. I was sucked in from the beginning as the female character isn't naive and knows what she wants in life. The circumstances that throw her in with the beast and his friends is intriguing and exciting. I had a hard time connecting to them however. I didn't feel their chemistry as much but enjoyed the suspense and mystery thrown in on top of the romance.
Snow Cure is book two in the Southern Soil series and in this book we get Linda's story. If you read book one then you know Linda is Arch's sister and a traveling nurse. While in Alaska she has an accident and ends up meeting Ellion, Chandler, and Griffin. This is a modern day fairy tale with a reverse harem twist. The writing is well done and the story is packed with drama, mystery, suspense, secrets, steam and so much more. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I loved this take on the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast but in a more adult suspenful way. Poly love is the beast -akak Griffin, Ellion, and Chandler-,and Linda is the beauty that finds them afte a car wreck near them. The way the plot is written leaves a lot to your imagination, but it is nice to see the relationship she develops with each one of the guys. It is an entertaining book!.

This is one of those books that as soon as you finish you smile, completely satisfied. HEA! I like the way the story has layers. The history of the guys together is interesting. It's a wonderful contemporary RH adventure. Beauty and the Beast you have competition.
So dry I can't believe I spent money on this! No character development or depth, reads more like a novella than a fully fleshed out story. Entertaining enough to pass the time if you're trying to fall asleep or on an airplane but nothing particularly exciting or interesting. I don't even really like the guys tbh very surface level personalities. DNF 71%.
This modern take on Beauty and the Beast is a great read. The heroine is a curvy, independant nurse who does not see herself in any relationship until she finds herself stranded with a "beast" and his two accolytes. Fast paced with some suspense and drama. I liked the fact that a poly relationship was not something the characters jumped into, but took time to reflect and discuss things.
