“Never support two weaknesses at the same time. It’s your combination sinners – your lecherous liars and your miserly drunkards – who dishonor the vices and bring them into bad repute.” –Thornton Wilder

Rating: MA: explicit, graphic sex within marriage, trigger warnings on violence, alerts/warnings prior to each sex scene or act of violence. Since this was a WIP, it had the usual problems with editing. Some were addressed in other reviews and the author even pointed out a few in the comments and that they were being addressed. 39-chapters with the last acting as the epilogue.

Elizabeth’s refusal of Collins’ proposal did not go well. Even with Darcy coming to her rescue, there were a lot of questions as to his authority to do all the things he promised. The author attempted to address that in the comments.

Collins was such a pig, and Charlotte was not sensible… simple as that. Charlotte’s visit with Elizabeth at Rosings was horrible. She simply would not listen to reason. So be it. I was rather disappointed that the epilogue didn’t mention Collins and Charlotte. I really wanted to know what happened to them. On the other hand, Elizabeth’s visit to Kent with Darcy was so rewarding in that she was able to close out a chapter from her past in such a way that she will never forget it.

The title was sort of misleading. The story only addressed Mr. Collins in the first few chapters and we didn’t see him again until the end. The main focus or plot point was Elizabeth overcoming his actions… the story was not about him. I think a different title would better reflect the main thrust of the story. I did enjoy the page time with our dear couple as Darcy helped Lizzy overcome her fears.

The story of Lady Catherine and Anne was so sad it simply broke my heart. The epilogue for our dear Colonel Richard was amazing. I was happy to see that. Then again, the epilogue for poor Lydia did not go so well with her. OMG! She chose her path with her eyes wide open. It was a shame, none the less. The story ended with Mrs. Bennet’s greatest wish… seeing all her daughters married.

After a promising thrilling start, this story soon started to drag. Really liked the plot and the premises (FMS) but the lack of general knowledge of the language and propriety of the regency era, combined with the pace dropping severely after a few chapters made it a struggle to finish. The author does have potential though.

I was not too fond of the way Elizabeth was portraited in this story, she felt a bit immature and there was an excess of teary eyes. It seemed like her eyes filled with tears every other minute for every possible reason. My point being that the author lacked variation in her descriptions of emotions.

Contains explicit descriptions of a sexual nature.
The author admits in the notes that this was her first attempt at writing smut and practice will hopefully make it less clammy.

Entering the morning after the Netherfield ball, Elizabeth is trying to escape mr Collins proposal by walking out. Mr Collins is persistent though and follows her on her walk.
There are no significant changes to the proposal but Collins reaction to the rejection is...
Running for her life, Elizabeth collides with the hard planes of mr Darcy's body...

When Elizabeth rejects Collins's proposal, he doesn't take it well and she is forced to flee and guess who saves her? When they return, Collins had used the opportunity to spread a story of kidnapping of Elizabeth thus forcing a compromising situation on her and making Mr.Bennet agree to marry her to him. Now, our hero in shining armor steps up and offers to marry our dear bruised, scared and scarred Elizabeth. This Darcy was dreamy. He was so caring, loving and protective of Elizabeth throughout the story. Though Collins appear in the title, he appears only twice in the story, the beginning when he behaves despically and in the end, when he gets his due. And Charlotte does end up marrying him refusing to believe Elizabeth till the end and ends up paying for her stupidity. The story contains lots of spelling and grammatical mistakes but the story was good.

This Pride and Prejudice story is a forced marriage due to scheming by Mr Collins. Luckily, Mr Darcy is a patient man and he courts Lizzy post wedding. As they mutually fall in love their love life and their adventures with their children make up the rest of the story.

A good premise and the beginning of the story was good. The execution of the rest felt a little contrived. But a pleasant and short read nonetheless.
