555 Atari Punk Console is a fun toy to learn the 555. This book cites Forest Mims. The Mims books are an excellent source for beginners to experiment with electronics. Many of Mims' books are on Amazon Prime. This was a really fun book. Thanks

Too basic

Too basic need real examples of workable circuits etc is motion section alarm out interface relay to handle power needed

Like it so much

So detailed and practical, yet easy reading.
And the projects are easily built.
I wish it has more mixing modes for real world applications...
