दीपक रमोला के प्रथम काव्य संग्रह में संकलित कविताएँ उनके जीवन की स्वानुभूत अभिव्यक्तियाँ हैं जिनमें उनका हृदय धड़कता है। इन्हें किसी एक मनोभूमि में नहीं समेटा जा सकता, ये अनेक अनुभवों की परछाईं हैं जैसे समुद्र के किनारे फैले शंखों में छिपे नाद। इनकी अभिव्यक्ति उम्र के पड़ाव से कहीं आगे विचरती है। नवयुवा मन में चुभन है जो ज़िन्दगी के आस-पास से लिए प्रसंगों को मुखरित कर देती है। कविता ‘ज़िन्दगी चोंच मारती है’ इसी का परिणाम है। दीपक की पैनी निगाहों में ज़िन्दगी एक आसान कसीदाकारी नहीं जिसमें सहज, सरल तरतीब से चलने वाले सूई-धागे की नफ़ासत उभरे। इनके लिए हर लम्हा एक चुनौती है जिसे स्वीकारना ही है अंजाम ना जाने क्या निकले। इनकी रचनाओं को पढ़कर समझना आसान है कि कहीं ये संवेदनशील कवि हैं, कहीं ग़ज़लकार और कहीं किसी कहानी की पकड़ी कड़ी को ख़ूबसूरती से गीतों में ढालते गीतकार। कवि हृदय सामयिक घटनाओं से उलझता है और परिणामतः सृजन होता है ‘इजाज़त’ और ‘एक बुरा सपना’। इनकी पर्वतीय उपत्यका में हुई परवरिश ने इन्हें प्रकृति से जुड़ने की प्रेरणा दी है। वहीं अन्दर तक भीगा हुआ तृप्त मन है जो आज की ज़िन्दगी की आपा-धापी से अनछुआ है। अगर प्यार है तो इन्तज़ार में अधिक रस है, मिलन में विकर्षण। ज़िन्दगी में मेहनत है, उपलब्धियाँ हैं पर गहन तनहाई है। जहाँ कवि ख़ुद ही से रू-ब-रू है रिश्ते, नाते, मीत सभी बेमानी हैं। ‘कितने रिश्तों की क्लास में नाकामयाब होकर तुम आये हो इस रिश्ते को आजमाने की ख़ातिर...’

Deepak Ramola is the Founder and Artistic Director of Project FUEL, an organisation that documents and designs human wisdom. He previously served as the Kindness Ambassador for UNESCO MGIEP. Through his methodology, recognised as world's top 100 innovations in education by Finland based organisation HundrED, he has worked with the Maasai tribe to middle school students in Afghanistan to sex workers of Kamathipura, learnings from earthquake survivors in Nepal to Syrian refugees in Europe and migration-affected villages of Uttarakhand, India.

A celebrated lyricist in Hindi Cinema, he is also a published author of an award-winning collection of Hindi poetry.

Loved it.
Beautiful poetry that you can almost feel was written about you or for you.
91 poems, I marked some lines in 21 of them, that's pretty great I think.
Favourite would be वो लम्हा.

Although now that I think about it, Vo Lamha might be my favourite because I had heard it live from the Author about 4 years back. When I read it now, I could still hear his voice. And if there is anything that differentiates poetry from a novel is the way it is recited. Reading poetry is a difficult task for me, I don't know where the writer wanted to be emphasized and where the lines should have been read together.

I also realised that I write pretty casually. Should improve A LOT lol.

I couldn't read anything yesterday due to back to back exam and I felt so restless!! I guess this is the change I was looking for haha.

Anyhoo, lovely book, looking forward to read more from Deepak Ramola and maybe even listen!
