“Her name is Treasure. Praise Adon. Never stop rejoicing in the Lord!”

Delaware author R.A. Denny worked as a criminal prosecutor until her passion for writing won her time to create epic fantasy novels. She completed writing her six book epic fantasy series: Mud, Rocks and Trees of which REFUGEES was the first volume, SEEKERS is the second, CAPTIVES the third volume, WARRIORS the fourth volume, and now VISIONAIRIES is the fifth volume. A woman of many interests R.A. enjoys ancient history, board games, LEGO, riding horses, raising flying squirrels and living with two cats. She has travelled to the ancient rock city of Petra on horseback, flown through the jungles of Costa Rica on zip lines, and visited the Great Pyramid on a camel.

R.A. has that sensitivity for her readers to supply maps and a glossary of terms at book’s end – something that makes a fine reference guide as we travel through her created space: the names of the Webbies, Gliders, Humans, Animals, Gods and Goddesses are clearly identified for the reader’s enhancement.

The prose is fluid despite the strange names of the locations of the story. The synopsis defines where we are going – “Our pride rules the empire now.” A new era has begun in Tzoladia! But lions are not the only things prowling the streets. The brash young ruler has inherited an empire full of divisions, intrigue, assassins, and disease. Have the last days arrived? Where are The Deliverers? Brina matches wits with the ruthless and brutal Bladar. Amanki fights the faceless and deadly blue sickness. Moshoi battles the restless and all-consuming desires of his own heart. Three Seals. Three Deliverers. One last chance. Will anyone escape Tzoladia alive?’

Clearly this is the culmination of a long science fiction/fantasy that is directed toward young readers more familiar with the video games and new IT trends than most adults. This sixth book is longer and yet still accessible once you master the names of places and characters. R.A. Denny has delivered a successful epic.

The end of a six part series was always going to be a difficult one to call. Having travelled so much with these characters it must have been a hard balance between finishing the way the author wanted and giving the ending the fans wanted. For me it pretty much hit the mark.

Deliverers was very much a 3 act finale - part one has the same pace and twists I've come to love about the story. Part two, I actually really liked, it was almost retrospective in feel and tone as tragedy befalls Tzoladia and part three almost felt like it was like an adventure game with an almost tomb raider feeling in it's puzzles and secrets.  For our travellers, even though they are close to the end their fates have become even more distant from their path, for Metlan balancing becoming Emporer with being a young carefree man is harder than he thought, Brina is far from home on a strange path with Bladar, Moshoi battles with jealousy and temptation and Amanki? Well he's just keeping his head down! The changes seen in these characters has been amazing, they are certainly not the naive children they were at the beginning and yet they still have plenty of development in the final book.

It's an emotional one for sure and there are a lot of sad moments, as well as some uplifting.  I found the final part to be exciting and full of anxiety as I was willing everyone forward, there were certainly plenty of heart in mouth moments!  In the final chapters the pages felt like they were turning themselves as story built to a brilliant crescendo, the seals proving to be formidable items both on their own and when used in collaboration.  There were a lot of unexpected turns and shocks - who will make it?

Whilst I have never touched much upon the religious aspect of these stories it's always something that has been there.  I have always found it to never be too in your face and in keeping with the story.  However, I have to say that in Deliverers I did find it a little too preachy at times, which is a real shame.

I found Delivers to ultimately be a very satisfying and exciting conclusion with a nice little epilogue to tie things together. I do also really want to thank R.A Denny for asking me to review this series, which has been a great ride from start to finish!

This is the startling conclusion to the Tales of Tzoladia series. This series ended so differently from how I expected it to.

At the end of the previous book, we had just discovered that Amanki, the Webby, who was the son of the former Emperor, Dazbun, and the deliverer of the Mud seal had contracted the blue sickness while he was imprisoned in the dungeons of the Emperor’s palace. This blue sickness is a major character in this book, taking the story to new levels of danger far beyond even what the recently deceased Emperor Zoltov had imagined.

Zoltov’s meddling hand is still being felt, however, even though he is dead. It turns out that the things needed to treat the blue sickness are mesmeringa tea and mesmeringa honey. But Zoltov’s armies have burned the mesmeringa forest which was the source of these things. Mesmeringa leaves for tea are now in short supply, and as the blue sickness spreads, it becomes almost unavailable.

All of the three seal deliverers struggle with their tasks. By now, none of them is carrying their own seals, and they discover by the end that each of them has made mistakes along the way. Mistakes they must overcome before the end finally comes for the Tzoladian Empire.

Metlan too surprises. I thought he would either be used as a pawn by someone like Bladar or General Pilezer or else he would let power go to his head and become like Zoltov, at which time
Amanki or someone would have to take him out. But at least at the beginning of his reign, he makes a sincere and strenuous effort to be a good ruler. Unfortunately, things just keep going wrong for him, not least his own bout with the blue sickness and his loss of his foster mother Zoe to this same blue sickness. Finally, he does appear to crack as badly as Zoltov.

A surprising number of the major characters die, victims of the blue sickness or of the shortage of mesmeringa leaves resulting from the burning of the mesmeringa forest and the necessity of using those remaining for the victims of the sickness.

But the real surprise is what happens when all three of the seal deliverers come together in Tzoladia, just as Metlan prepares to celebrate his birthday by killing off all the followers of Adon.

I read this book on Kindle Unlimited.

This exciting series comes to a close in this amazing finale. The whole way through this series we were never sure what was going to happen, will the three deliverers ever meet? Will there be a new rise to power? Was the prophecy interpreted wrong?

This novel was one of change and understanding. Our characters have survived through the impossible on this mission, they have been faced with death, betrayal and even an almost break with their faith and mission. So many times they were tried with unbelievable circumstances that made them questions their own beliefs in God, the world, people and their place in protecting the seals and the future of their people. Each one emerges through this journey in this novel in a different way. Amanki finds peace with his faith and his place to guide others. He does not want the glory and power, he wants to help others find peace and acceptance in the face of pain. Brina (my personal favourite character) has grown so much through her trials and has become a strong young woman who is fearless and confident in her choices and faith. It is Moshoi that struggles the most with the need and desire for gold and pleasure. This was shocking to me! He always seemed like the quiet, obedient young man but when faced with so much fortune it was difficult for him to continue on his path. The death of an important person to him in this book, further sends him spiralling out of control. It is hard to tell whether he will be able to reel himself in, in order to complete his mission or if he has even remembered his mission!

This was the perfect ending for this book and not what I was expecting from book five. It was powerful, moving and hopeful for the future. The ending gives hope for all people in this incredible land and a future full of promise and acceptance of diversity. I loved every moment of book six - this is a definite must read series!

The grand end to one of my favorite series has come to an end.

The Good
-A fun, riveting completion to the series.
-To which I enjoy, there's a lot of death, destruction, pain, grief, and even a little creepiness/darkness. I mean, take a look at the awesome cover art which helps describe this book.
-Redemption. Yes, this is still a book about Adon saving "mankind" though His prophecy declared long along.
-Characters are still developed well and are easily differentiated from each other. That is to say, the characters are complicated enough to stand on their own.

The Bad
-The series is over.
-A suggestion is for R.A. Denny to continue using this complex world she created or interconnected this world with another.
-I'm thinking along the lines of what Brandon Sanderson does with his books.

The Unsure*
-N/A

*My opinion: what I didn’t care for or do not prefer. This will not lower a rating unless it overly distracts from the story.

You will find the completion of this series satisfying with this book. I highly recommend it!

This is one of my favorite fantasy series. It has a very imaginative storyline. I have enjoyed each of the six books and am a bit sorry to say goodbye to the characters.
I found book one in this series as a freebie on Amazon. I loved it! So when the author saw my review and offered to let me read the remaining books in the series, of course I said yes. This one just kept getting better with each book. The characters are fleshed out, flawed, and feel like friends and family. The author has created a world where several races of people struggle to survive. "Deliverers" is the final book in the series and was just as good as all of the other five. There is a Christian viewpoint in these books, but they don't come across as cheesy or preachy. I give it five stars. Wonderful epic fantasy. I can recommend for teens and up.

Wow, what a ride!

SO MUCH happened in this book. The previous installments felt like child's play compared with the life-threatening challenges in this one. There was temptation, betrayal, despair and lots of death. Beloved characters died which was shocking and there was some mourning involved. A disliked character redeemed himself by changing into an unexpected hero, the deliverers were not the only ones that grew up.

I didn't know how they could accomplish their mission and save the day until it happened.

While the entire series has a strong religious tone, this last book in the series really brings to the forefront the spiritual lessons of faith, forgiveness, redemption and spiritual growth.

This is by far my favorite volume in the series.

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an unbiased review.

The Emperor's doom by Denny. is the culmination of 5 books which followed the lives of 3 people who were meant to be together. Along the way, there are adventures and sorrow and one could despair of this never-ending saga. Each chapter has been from the viewpoints of the main characters with the seal plus Emperor Metlan who steals Brina's seal and then has it stolen from him on his wedding night. Or was it a real seal or one of Tuka's making? Metlan meets a mother or two but none last til the end. There's a sort of happy ever after at the end. I was given a free copy from the author and this is my honest review.

A very satisfying conclusion to the Mud, Rocks, and Trees series, this 6th and final book gives thrills, worries, and surprises! The characters I have enjoyed getting to know along the way are tested repeatedly. Some rise, some fall. I recommend it highly!
