It's a truth universally acknowledged (at least by the enlightened among us, of whom Janet Nelson is a beacon) that we cannot do or be our best alone. Yet, how often have we just plodded forward, in blinders, sure that everyone else is too busy to help? In a charming parable, Janet proves how wrong that is. When Bea takes the challenge to reach out and open up to other women, she has encounters that inspire "I can do that!" and "Not gonna happen." Good or bad, it's all for self-discovery...Bea's and ours as readers. It's on my bedside table now for whenever I need a reminder to trade "busy" for "brave."

Enjoyable!

This was a well told story that was believable and relatable. As a recovering "superwoman" I appreciate the opportunity to pause and reflect on how I am "being" in the world.

Janet Neal, a reformed “superwoman”, has written the most delightful little book, The Superbwoman, that only takes about an hour to read so even the most stressed out among you can find time to read it. It is jammed packed with invaluable lessons for all of us. In this cleverly written parable, Bea, a single stressed out working mom, goes on a quest to find out how a media icon, admired by all, “does it all.” So, she seeks out women in our own life who seem to have it all together to get their secrets. Each chapter ends with a lesson learned, and by the end of the book, Janet has gifted each of us excellent advice, like forgiveness, gratitude, and getting rid of the “should”, which will help women of all ages and stages to live our lives more fully – just add the “BE”.
