Young readers can grow in their personal relationship with the Letter E, though their friendship with cute little Ezra.

Just as real-life Ezra might be a cool soccer player who also plays the flute... Reader here learn how:

"The letter e makes two different sounds.
One sound is the long sound, like in the word eagle.
The other sound is the short sound, like in the word eggplant."

Hey, Goodreaders, I guess the SILENT SOUND of the Letter E is considered too advanced for now. Like, perhaps, the notion that Ezra's house contains a printing press. You know, for the little family counterfeiting biz. (Joke!)

Color coding of words that contain the letter E makes the point, again and again: E is your friend.

Two of the so-exotic words in this book are ELEPHANT and EAGLE. That kid, the letter E, embodied by Ezra -- could become a reader's friend for life. No wonder I'm giving this kid lit triumph FIVE STARS!
