Charming nicely illustrated story in verse, set in Nepal to read to three to five year olds. It is about a brother and sister who want to climb to the top of the world. Is is abundantly clear that the author knows Nepal well and the detail of the illustration capturing the amiable chaos, "the hullabaloo Kathmandu" is great. For children who are a little old, from the age of about 7 Himalayan Kidnap: The First Alex and James Eco-Aventure in Nepal should appeal.

me and my 3 year old daughter looooove it! we've lived in Nepal and we felt back in the streets of Kathmandu reading this book... I wish the author keeps on writting more adventures for Jack and Betty.
