The South Carolina Story is better than one may think for a history book. I think Osborne tells a good story as she relates the history of the state - which is a long one since SC is a pre-revolutionary place. I've had an interest in our state history since purchasing property near two cemeteries, both of which were started in the 1700s, and this book has helped put some of the pieces together.
