This is a fair feline literary compilation, I just wish it was more cat-positive. While admittedly biased, I found that solidly half of the included excerpts focused on the negative, superstitious side of cats. I don’t need a mushy-saccharine compilation but a few more lighthearted selections would have made the book better for me. The artwork featured throughout was good but not outstanding. My favorite included selection was written by the incomparable P.G. Wodehouse; it made me laugh at our continued attempts to understand the feline mind. Overall, not horrible but also not a book I will revisit, much like my cats after playing with a new toy for ten minutes...
