Juvie & Solai: A Hood Love Story #3

Juvie & Solai 3: A Hood Love Story

Rate this book
Murder. That was the only word that ran through Juvie’s mind as he was placed in handcuffs. He didn’t know right away who his first target would be, but he had a good idea who he wanted to knock off first. Oriana had crossed the line with him one too many times, and he could only hope that her scheming ways wouldn’t fall through. He had better things to worry about. That better thing being Solai.
Honestly fed up at this point with Juvie’s shenanigans, Solai was ready to call whatever they had going on quits. The last thing she wanted to be doing was looking dumb for a guy who didn’t appreciate, nor respect her. While Juvie was so concerned with catching up to whoever was trying to take him down, Solai occupies her time with a more than qualified man from her past who was about to give young Juvie a run for his money and do what he couldn’t do…keep it one hundred.
The young couple you have grown to love are fighting their own battles as well. Wheelchair bound and working hard every day to improve his strength, Ra finds himself falling short. His concern for a pregnant Tesh and the news about her and Solai being sisters is a tough pill to swallow. It’s even harder when Solai finds out and cuts everyone completely off.
The main couples of this gritty love story aren’t the only ones who have a story to tell. Anika, Harvey, Aunyae, and Krew are back and fighting for what they’ve built with their significant others like never before. Will they stick it out? Or will the foundation they worked hard to build for their solid relationships have been made in vein?
In the finale of Juvie & Solai: A Hood Love Story, be prepared to, not only be invited back into these characters’ lives, but grow and learn with them as well. Not every story has a perfect ending, and sometimes the most important life lessons are the ones learned the hard way.

I really loved this series!!! Loved!! I’d change the title though because if we are being honest, Juvie and Solai were my least favorite couple 🥴

This should have been the Tesh and Ra hood story because they were everything. I loved their growth and transformation. I hated that Tesh couldn’t be there for Ra during his time of need but she definitely redeemed herself. Their love for each other was so pure and heartwarming and you could feel the love oozing from the pages. Ra never folded on Tesh and was so patient with her as she navigates through the trauma endured from her relationships with Tremaine and her mother. Everyone needs a Ra in their life. It’s hard to believe that him and Juvie were raised by the same mother.

The relationship between Harvey and Aunyae was very consistent once they got past the apprehension that Aunyae had with fully opening herself to the love Harvey wanted to give her and Kareem. Harvey was a goner the day he laid eyes on Aunyae and constantly showed up and showed out for her and Kareem.

I was sooooooo happy that Lano and Anika ended up together!! Their chemistry was so magnetic. I was concerned that Krew was going to come and blow up their spot. I really hope we get to see their love blossom further in book 4.

Despite the book being named after them Juvie and Solai did not give what they were supposed to give. Juvie’s cockiness and Solai side chick behavior turned me off and even though they eventually got it together I don’t think it was enough to change my mind. I’m interested to see if they can change my mind in the last book because so far it’s a no for me.

Rick, Kole and O got what they deserved. They were some snakes for sure. O really played herself. She had so much potential and proved to be an utter disappointment!

Let’s see how this last book ties everything together.

Justice for Ra 😂😂

Man justice for my boy Ra!! He deserves so much better to me 🤷🏿‍♀️🤷🏿‍♀️ he is a great dude, Tesh has annoyed me in every last book!!! The girl is selfish as ever!! Don't get me wrong I'm happy she is free now and able to be with who she wants and I'm glad they have their little family but I still don't like her 😂 glad Juvie and Solai got it together, their story was just okay to me, I really didn't like either of them in the last two books (just like funky tesh 😂). My favs in all 3 books have been Harvey and Aunyae!! ❤❤😍😍 loved their little family so much, they were the peace in the book for me!

Hood love prevails

I am greedy with characters, which is why I love to read a series because I get to hold on to them longer. That said I felt like this was a perfect way to end this series. Everyone had been through it and it was nice to see them at peace.

Let's start with Harvey and Aunyae. They have been the most consistent couple and that continued in this book. They finally moved past the scrutiny of Harvey's family to focus on building their family. The relationship between Aunyae's son Kareem was so sweet. Together they did a good job raising him. Harvey fully accepted his role as Kareem's father figure proudly. I thought they were going to be the first to get engaged.

Anika and Lano were officially a couple. Lano with his rough self truly handled her with care. He was not swayed by her walls are fearful heart. Instead he showed her that he trusted her, that he wanted her, and she deserved to be cared for. Unfortunately it seemed as if she had to experience the hurt with Krew to understand how to properly navigate a relationship. Speaking of Krew he was a hot mess. Jeopardizing his relationship with Paige by trying to hold on to Anika. Even when she clearly had moved on. Anika's loyalty and friendship with Krew was admirable. She was definitely a real one for standing by him.

Ra and Tesh were always a sweet little couple, even when it was on the low. Their story was rough to say the least, but we got to experience them finally together freely. I wish we got to experience more of Ra. He was funny and had a positive spirit while going through such a hard transition in his life. His support for Tesh was unmatched and his love for her shined through. Tesh received a lot of closure and is now able to look ahead and embrace her sweet little family.

Finally Juvie and Solai. They spent the majority of this book apart. I honestly felt like he had done worst ish and the entire argument was petty. It was his lies though that exacerbated the situation because it was so unnecessary. Solai was understanding and cared for him deeply, but I loved how she didn't hesitate to put herself first. Actions were so much louder to her than words. Juvie was still somewhat childish, by avoiding communicating with her when he was clearly dead wrong. His actions created friction, doubt, and pain and Solai felt it best to move on. I definitely wanted more of them. Juvie was on a get back mission and it required his focus. As they came full circle it was nice to finally see them together at peace.

Lawd, I swear Juvie really knows how to work my last nerve. He’ll be doing so good, making progress, then outta nowhere he shuts down, stops communicating, and starts being all secretive again. It’s exhausting. My girl Solai needs to take Erica’s advice and let him feel what it’s like to lose her make him beg if he really wants to be in her life.

I’m over here tearing up for Tesh and Ramon, though. After everything they’ve been through, they finally made it. They earned that happiness, and I’m so proud of them.

Harvey and Aunyae? Whew, they just keep getting stronger. Watching Harvey grow and truly show up for Aunyae and her son it’s beautiful.

And Anika? That girl found herself a real one. She deserves every bit of that love.

Hood

The book was ok but could have been a little better. Solai was very naive at times like why would you listen to Anika and not sit down and talk to your man about what happen. Then she just jumped in the arms of another man but want to be mad at Juvie and he hasn't even did anything wrong. Anika was messy for np reason even with krew she was being messy. I'm glad tesh got some payback on Tremaine sister kole for all the times she stood by and watched him best her. Aunyae and Harvey need some real drama in their life

This was a very good read. In all actuality the series could have ended here and I would have been a ok with that but of course there’s a 4th installment. So I’m definitely about to read that. I soooooo can’t wait to get to Sen and Neicey’s story but I had to read this series first. I’ve got to say, I’m loving this author and I usually stick to the same few and just read and re-read their stuff but I’m really glad I decided to read her catalog because her stories are VERY entertaining and I haven’t been able to put a book down yet. So yeah, definitely adding this author to my roster.

Oh and kudos to this author for writing about some strong ass men like Ant (who even though his wife cheated he still didn’t fuck the hoe that tried creepin her way in), and Meech (who was very faithful and all in his relationship with Erica BEFORE she did the fuck shit), and in this series Juvie (who did his best to stay faithful to Solai, even while living with bm and her sneaking into his room, he still put a stop to it). You always reading about these cheating ass dudes who eventually get their shit together, but so far I guess in my opinion, it’s the women this author has been writing about who need to get their shit together. It’s quite refreshing honestly. But here I am rambling. Great book, great series. Read. Every book has been very entertaining so far.

This might be one of the best series I’ve ever read. There’s drama but not too much drama. And there’s much needed healing and character growth.

I loved how Ra and Tesh’s relationship blossomed. I loved how they learned how to communicate and trust each other.

Juvie and Solar’s back and forth was kinda annoying.

Harvey’s lil family is cute! Shoutout to his mom for doing what was right!

Lano! Aye! I love how he worked through Nika’s insecurities and he was okay with her being there for what’s his face.

This book should have been the end of the series

Okay

I skimmed through most of this book.
Again needs an editor. So many mistakes. I’m confused as to why there are four books if this book concluded everything. Idk it was okay I guess.

This series has been really good so far. Juvie and Solai really get on my nerves and I cant with them. Its hard to believe that Ra and Juvie are blood brothers and act so different. I’m so glad that Ra and Tesh were doing good and so happy for their growth and transformation. Ra was so patient with her as she navigates through the trauma endured from her relationships with Tremaine and her mother. Then you have Harvey and Aunyae, I loved them too. Harvey was not moved by nothing Aunyae was talking about and was consistent with how he felt about here and her place in her and her son’s life. Then you had miss hot in the pants Anika and Lano /Krew the whole situation was a little all over the place but I’m glad to see that Anika was looking at things different for once. The drama that takes place in the book was real and everyone that played a part in trying to take them down really played themselves and got what the deserve and then some. People be real life playing with people for no reason and don’t know when enough is enough. I know book 4 is ready for me to jump right in. Love that I started this and everything was already released.

Ok

This book was ok, but not author's best. Solai just got on my with her weak butt. With all that trash talking about Juvie, and all that he did to her she still took him back so easily. She gave in to easy with Juvie. I was glad to read about Sen, Niecy, Erica and Meech though.

This was a big fail. Picks up where it left off and Juvie’s at a standoff with Kole and makes it back to the station. Of course he walks with nothing coming of it and we never really get what the actual plan was that Oriana had come up with. We do find out who she was messing with and behind the break-in but even that is vague. Solai blows up completely and runs to Markis while Tesh is awake and panicking on whether or not to tell Solai.

When she decides to again Solai blows up, Juvie is out for revenge and uses Tesh and Solai to get it. That was about the silliest scene I’d read, everything behind it was over the top and way off from what the characters of this story have been up to. This one was boring and filled with a bunch of nothing to keep you reading.
