"The Portland area provides an amazing variety of terrain for walking - from mountaintops to flood plains. The walks described in this book wander along the shores of rivers, streams and lake; volcanoes."
Just mooched this one from BookMooch. Hope to have a report soon.
Update: Well, this book has a copyright of 1978, so I'm guessing the information is a bit outdated. I am looking at the info as a starting point from which to find what's currently available.
The only walking trip listed in my neighborhood is Mt. Tabor.
Quaint! Cute vintage cover. Found at the Crumpacker library sale. Wordy for a walk for a walk book in today's time and I'm not sure how the walks would hold up. For example, when it says, "undeveloped area"...that was 30 years ago! Maybe find some gems in there...
