Rhyming text introduces baseball terms and concepts for each letter of the alphabet, from "at bat" and "bullpen" to the umpire's cry of "Yer out!" and the "Zz" of slumbering bench warmers.
I read this book because it was for kids. I should say it is for kids. But I learned something and since I’m writing a novel about a pitcher I thought I would start with the very basics. It’s a very good little primmer as it says. And it does have some information and plays that I found useful. I’ll probably look at it again just to make sure I cover all my bases. :-) And the pictures are great too. :-)
